My wife and have been going to Bistrot Marguerite for many years, at least 15. Despite a questionable recent remodeling that replaced a perfectly adequate warm, original, and classic 1940s decor, once again the food and service was excellent. Jean-Francois took care of us on two separate nights. The boeuf bourginion, a large portion by the way, was excellent both nights... Bistrot Marguerite was a pleasant relief after a horrible expensive dinner early in our trip at a restaurant on Isle St Louis .Unfortunately we find that most times you do not get value for your Euro in Paris restaurants..Brasseries and Bistrots do offer value and finding one is often just luck of the draw... Bistrot Marguerite however remains a consistent value and a place for excellent food. Plus the view is remarkable. The food was great both nights. Escargot and salads and wines perfect. Service very friendly and very efficient. Easy to find and right near the Hotel de Ville Metro.
