This is not Notre Dame, this is the Church for the people, the working people by working people who dedicate their lives to seeking God. I was so moved on my previous trip to this Church that I made it to mass on our last nite in Paris. We walked around in the late afternoon and met one of the "fathers" who spoke great english. He invited us to stay for mass and I told him I would not miss it. This Church has the oldest organs in Paris, you can see where bombs hit the pillars of the Church during the war.
Mass is in French of course and yet I was moved to tears. Take a moment from our busy holiday and go into St. Gervais for mass. You leave a changed person, in a good way!
