I spend thousands of my steps walking around Paris and it’s so easy to go from one district to another. This can be quite a chic area but there are cheaper places to be found with some walking. Around the metro are the famous cafes which are more touristy than delicious and amazing in my opinion.

I cannot recommend enough this section of the city. My family and I loved the upscale, yet approachable feel to the district and its proximity to nice shops and restaurants. Our hotel was located just a block away from a metro stop (be sure to take in some of the fantastic metro signage when visiting) and a taxi line. We appreciated the abundance of Hausmann buildings in this area and the more authentic feel.

This delightful neighborhood has all you need to have an intimate experience in this otherwise overwhelming world capital. Hotels, restaurants, cafes, street markets, even a decent self-service laundromat and grocery store are accessible to locals and travelers alike. This is our home away from home when in Paris.

We enjoyed our stay in Saint Germain! It offers so much in terms of culture, exchange, restaurants, places to stay and things to do. Highly recommended for all travelers.

One of my favourite parts of Paris, this area has a fantastic vibe, great food, bars that are open all night. Oh and amazing people! What more can you ask for?
