A nice stroll though this market. No high pressure sales. Everyone seems proud of their wares and friendly with each other. The area is very quirky, but lots of fun to walk through with low vehicle traffic.

Amazing - lots of great cafes, creperies, food and jewellery shops. Cobble stone streets and lots of character. A must see while in Paris.

Of all the things we did on our trip to London, Paris and Amsterdam, this was one of my favorites. This little street just makes you feel like you are in Paris (I know that sounds weird :) There are lots of little cafes, shops and markets along the street. While we had no need to purchase fresh fish, meat, or cheese it was just fun to walk around. There were also bakeries, creperies, wine and chocolate shops. We had just gone to Sacre Couer before we went to Rue Mouffetard, so I think the lack of tourist traps and commotion was refreshing. This street is just adorable, I don't know what other waiy to descibe it! We stayed in St Germain, and took public transit there but walked back. If my memory serves correctly, the walk back was a bit lengthy. But I am a walker on vacation, as I feel it's the best way to really see the city. GREAT place!

Even if you are in a hotel with no kitchen, this Market and surrounding area is a must do. With the busy market square and the whole street full of shops with the most amazing array of fresh, fresh foods and ingredients. Many shops have queues, and one boulanger with 30 people queuing, locals everywhere doing their shopping (we went on a Sunday morning), you know it's good. You can pick up ready to eat as well as food to prepare at home, or just go and experience Paris!

Thanks to another review we went to Rue Mouffetard on the Sunday after Christmas and joined in the dancing. It was fabulous. A great memory. The atmosphere was lovely.
