The elegant interior of the Palais matches that of its' exquisite exterior! The guided tour was very helpful in focusing on details that one might miss otherwise. (About an hour and a half with an English speaking guide )Kudos to the architect and all the talented craftspeople who poured their talents into this glorious showcase for the art of dance. Too bad we did not see a performance but did catch a glimpse of a rehearsal in progress. Had about an hour after the tour to continue to wander through the hall, taking in a costume exhibit displayed in the corridors.
If you have a dancer in the family, don't miss the opportunity to visit the gift shop which is filled with terrific things every dancer would want, from books and cd's to Pointe shoes.
