The chapel is a must to see. We have been before but the stained glass is a must to see when in Paris. We have been before and will certainly return again.

If you go to Paris, it's a must visit. The are renovating but that can be understandable. The stained glass is colorful and unforgettable.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2014

The stained glass windows are so beautiful -- if only they weren't renovating. Visited in April and again in October and they were still working on it. Got to see all of it, only not at the same time! The wait was not terribly long - line seemed to move pretty fast. You have to go through security and cannot use your museum pass. Visit the Conciergerie next to it.

“Spectacular stain glass chapel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2014

Being inside this chapel...which is situated within the police complex next to where Marie Antoinnette was imprisoned--is like being inside a huge crystal flashing with the blue, greens, yellow and reds of the floor to ceiling soaring over 20 ft high. Pick a sunny afternoon for best viewing

“A magnificent piece of ancient history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2014

Saint-Chapelle was built between 1242 and 1248 and most of the beautiful stained glass is original! It is rather overshadowed by Notre Dame, and concealed by its restoration work, but I am so pleased that we made the effort to find it because it is magical!
