We booked two rooms at Hotel Le Lavoisier based on Trip Advisor reviews and we are so glad we did. All of the Staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful.
The Hotel is well located, quiet, well appointed, clean and close to a taxi rank and small supermarket. The rooms we had were a good size for Europe, we had plenty of choice for breakfast and it was delivered with a smile. There are also many trendy place to eat and drink at not far away. The must see sites were only about a ten Euro taxi drive away. We would definitely book this hotel again next time we are in Paris

Have come to the final night at this hotel in central Paris & have thought that the pluses definitely outweigh the minuses here. The hotel benefits from a good central location as is within easy walking distance of 3 metro stations and a ten minute walk to la place de la Concorde. A usual downside to a hotel in such a location is that that it is located just off a main road so if you open a window from your room you will definitely get a full blast of high volume traffic. Keeping them closed and the background noise becomes tolerably quiet. Our room is furnished to a reasonably high standard and boasts an extremely comfortable super king bed. I have to admit it's medium-firm mattress is extremely comfortable and a big concern was that my 7 month-pregnant wife would struggle to sleep abroad but this bed has been a god-send as she had managed to sleep really well here. The breakfasts are pretty limited to a selection of pastries and croissants, oj, tea, coffee, yoghurt etc and definitely not what you'd expect from 4* hotels. If you want a piece of bacon it's counted as an extra and with a two euro charge per item it's not only cheeky but a rip-off. The staff are very friendly & helpful here so you can be sure you will get a personal and attentive service from this smart boutique hotel.

Dear TAdvisorLondon,

Thank you for posting a review.

I am delighted your overall stay was most comfortable and you enjoyed the hotel's great location, the quality of bedding, and the soundproof rooms.

Our breakfast is a typical parisian continental breakfast without buffet, however we do apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for sharing your experience and I look forward to welcoming you back to Hotel Le Lavoisier.

Congratulations! Someone is coming soon, someone to call you “Mummy” and "Daddy" and fill your hearts with bundle of joy. Wish you all the success for your new experience !

Yours sincerely,

Ludovic

The staff were lovely and the location was fantastic to attractions and public transport. The size of the room was so much smaller than we expected in both the room and bathroom. The photos on the net made it look so much bigger than what we got in both the bedroom and the bathroom. We were under the impression that we were getting an upgrade by the company who booked it on our behalf but no we got just a small standard room. There were no tea and coffee facilities and when we ordered a coffee which we were given the impression was complimentary we had to pay for them.
We had a mini bar in our room with nothing in it so we bought some drinks only to find after we had bought the drinks that they had removed the mini bar during the day while we were out. When we inquired about the mini bar we were told that there shouldn't have been a mini bar in the room.
Our room was next to the lift so it was noisy when people came back to their rooms late at night while we were trying to sleep.
When we opened the window we had an outlook of the back of another building which was not attractive at all.
The hotel had a lounge but it was not conducive to having a drink because it was just so dark and dingy. Therefore we were restricted to staying in our tiny room.In the photos on the net it looked lovely and inviting but in real life not inviting at all. All the books in their library in the lounge are for show only as they are so very old and I don't think anyone has read one for years or would want to.
The gentleman who served our breakfast was just so warm and welcoming and I can't remember his name but a great big thank you to you.
It would have been great if the hotel had a restaurant because the food from the restaurants in the area close to the hotel served very average food at very high prices.

Room tip: Ask what size the room is before booking, book a room away from the lift.

Dear Ms Lorraine PHATOUROS,

Thank you for posting a review.

I do regret that your experience did not meeting your expectations. My sincere apologies for the lapse in our standards on this occasion. Rest assured this is certainly not indicative of the usual high levels of service to which we aspire, and will address the issues you raised accordingly.

I also advise that it was possible to choose a superior category of room with your tout operator in order to provide you a larger room. As we provide different level of choice to the agencies.

I appreciate you sharing your concerns and hope to have the opportunity to better serve you in the near future.

Kind regards,
Ludovic

Just spent 8 nights at the Hotel Le Lavoisier and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms with excellent water pressure. Cute french decor and traditional French doors/windows overlooking the courtyard. The location is perfect, within a 10 minute walk to the opera house, Louve and Champs-Élysées plus shopping, bars and restaurants nearby. We did not use the metro but saw a stop nearby. The staff were brilliant. Very welcoming and friendly, always helpful with advice on local attractions. Very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again when I return to Paris. Wish we did not have to leave
