“Decent place, but we'll look elsewhere for our next stay”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

The greeting at the reception was friendly and the staff was overall quite nice by French standards. The room was adequate, but nothing more. The first room we were given had a broken air conditioner. Pro: They did move us to another room later in the day. Con: They moved us to a smaller room. This was an immediate turn off for us since we were suffering the consequences of their poor maintenance. The room itself was fine. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was absolutely nowhere to unpack anything - we lived out of our suitcase while we were staying there. The shower worked fine and the water pressure was good, however there was NO barrier to keep the water in the shower area. This resulted in very careful maneuvering in the shower to keep the water from ending up all over the bathroom, or water all over the bathroom (depending on which one of us was in there). :-)

The location was convenient to a couple different metro stops and we'd highly recommend the Paris Visit three day pass if you want to explore the city unencumbered by worries of transit costs. The price was decent by Parisian standards and the breakfast was what one might expect in this price range. Nothing exciting, but a little something to fill your belly before heading out to the city. I would not call our stay there a bad experience, but we will be looking to try someplace else next time we stay in Paris.

This hotel is situated in a nice area and accessible to the metro system as there are 3 stations close by. The rooms are clean and quite spacious for a city hotel. The best rooms are in the front of the hotel as they have 2 big windows. The breakfast is ok, in fact a bit better than expected as some of the reviews we read said you did not get much but we thought it was good. The only problem was there is not enough room in the breakfast room if all the guests wanted to eat at the same time, which happened whilst we were there. The lady serving the breakfast did not smile or greet you and was not efficient in re-setting the tables, in fact it was chaotic.
We would go back to this hotel as there are plenty of restaurants to eat on the door step especially Bistro Coin. The only thing that did put me off Paris was the constant smell of urine as the Parisians are quite happy to wee in the street as it is very difficult to find any public toilets. The worst area was along the river Seine.

Room Tip: Ask to have a room at the front of the hotel

We spent two nights in Paris with our family of 5 children this Summer. The hotel is ideal for a short stay. The rooms are charming but small, the common parts uninteresting but the staff were really excellent and friendly and the breakfast was very good. There are also excellent shops and patisseries close by. The hotel is in an excellent location with good access to the Marais area and some very good brasseries very close by.

Our family spent 4 days in this charming hotel and we found the hotel staff very nice and helpful. Our suite was perfectly decorated and we appreciated the kitchenett. The hotel location is very central and close to the subway. We will certainly go back there for our next visit.

We are a family of four and we spent a week in this hotel. We were very well welcome and our suite was clean, well decorated and with lots of space. Breakfast (included in our booking) was excellent. Last, the hotel is pretty central and subway just 2 blocks away.
