My husband and I were scheduled to leave to Paris the day Hurrican Sandy passed through NY. Our flight was rescheduled twice and we were able to leave on Sunday (almost a week later). I emailed/called the hotel to change the dates and they were very accommodating.

The hotel is located in a great area, in front of the Louvre. It is very nice on the outside and in the lobby, but could use some upgrades on the hallways. Our room was on the fifth floor, had 2 balconies, and the bathroom was pretty big. It was very comfortable.

The staff at the hotel is very friendly, specially everyone at the Concierge desk were great, helping us with reservations for shows and giving us directions. The staff at the restaurant was also great. The drinks at the bar were super expensive! If we go back to Paris, we would definitely stay there again. It was also very helpful that we bought a 4 day Paris pass that came with a 5 day ticket for the metro; this was priceless as we were able to go everywhere using this pass; highly recommend it.

This is not a grand hotel. It was very comfortable, clean and is in the BEST location. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Our room looked out at the louvre and we could see the bustle of the city. When the curtains were drawn it was quiet. We would recommend this location and this hotel.

Great location, 5 star reception, 5 star staff & service....but not really 5 star bedroom.
We upgraded to a Delux room in order to fit an additional bed for our daughter to stay in the same room. This service was an additional 90 Euro's per night just for the extra bed!...it would have been cheaper to buy our own bed given we we were staying there for 4 nights!
Not enough electrical sockets in the room....had to unplug a light to plug in any electrical appliance and there was not even a shaver socket in the bathroom!...nit picking basic stuff really that for me doesn't warrant my room being of 5 star quality.
Didn't try the breakfast or restaurant as we considered them over priced really (i.e. 30 Euros for breakfast per person!) so we decided to eat out all the time as the one good thing is the hotel location as there are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants with a short walk from the front door.
Overall we liked the hotel, but thought it was over priced.

Room Tip: If you have to upgrade, check what your getting for the increase in price. Be prepared to pay a high...

We had 2 nights booked last month but unfortunately our flight was canceled and we could only stay 1 night. The staff, accommodations and location could not be more perfect. The hotel has a club with a jazz band which knocked our socks off. I highly recommend this comfortable and sophisticated hotel.

We stayed for two nights in a Junior Suite (room 337) which had a view of The Louvre (well, the back windows of The Louvre). As probably one of the most expensive hotels I've stayed in (€800/$1000) the room was pretty good, but not epic. The staff were all excellent and friendly. The buffet breakfast was reasonable without being awesome. The view was good, without being breathtaking. What this hotel is about is 'Location', which it has in spades - you could throw a cocktail stick at The Louvre and it's a fantastic base for roaming around the core of Paris being a 15-min stroll from both Notre Dame and Place de la Concorde. There is a 'Batobus' landing just across from The Louvre which at €15/day provides a great way of saving your legs while seeing the city. There are quite a few good restaurants within metres of the hotel.

The bathroom was very large and well equipped with a good shower. The bed was massive - almost a double-double bed, you could seriously have slept a family of five without any trouble. Big hat-tip for the inclusive, high-speed WiFi which was excellent. There was a flat-screen TV but we never turned it on. Curiously, there wasn't a kettle in the room, so no tea/coffee facilities. The buffet breakfast was fairly average, if I'm honest, with some very good elements but also with a few luke-warm ones (they ran out of croissants!) - although they still served at the sensible time of 10:30am at the weekend!

Now a gripe: We had a drink in the bar after returning from dinner. I travel the world and stay in hotels a lot - I expect the drinks to be expensive, but the prices charged "prendre la pisse" - €15.50 for a 33cl bottle of Kronenbourg 1664 (£21.50 a pint in London terms, $28 for a New York pint, $25 for an Aussie schooner) is crazy money. Even worse was charging €8 for a small bag of M&M's from the minibar when you could walk across the road and buy a packet for 40c - a 2000% markup....

In summary : Above average hotel, fantastic location, not cheap. Would I stay again? Oh yes ...

We didn't stay here bhut popped in at the cafe. We were very early for our louvre tour so we decided to have breakfast.....Silly me. I didn't check the price or ask. Coffee and buffet for two added up to €60. Im not kidding. It was good but not that good!
