We went on the cruise. It's a nice, quiet, relaxing ride from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame and back. The presentation highlights all the sights along the river. Great to take your first day there to get a plan of where to visit. As for the river, it's the lifeline of Paris. A lot of its main sights are located along the river. Many locals walk or hang out here, especially the youth. Do be aware if pick pockets in the more crowded areas. Overall, absolutely loved the area. My wife is already asking to go back.

We took the River Cruise, as a part of the Paris Pass. It was great to take a scroll down the river with the Eiffel Tower and the background and watch folks just hanging out on the banks.

Nice river to see and explore. Go to the 21:00 cruise to catch the lighting of the Eiffel tower. This is a site that you don't want to miss.

We experienced the Seine River from different perspectives. We saw the river by strolling, river cruising and by bus. We enjoyed very much strolling by the river bank at the street level as well as at the river level by walking down by one of the bridges.
At the street level, we enjoyed the view of the river, the beautiful architecture of the buildings and bridges from near and far. Everywhere we turned, there was something interesting to see. Walking at the river level and by river cruising, we saw a different view of the river. The buildings along the river were partially obstructed at that level, but we were able to appreciate the different bridges along the river. We saw the beautiful details of bridges like Pont Alexandre and Pont Neuf, and discovered some interesting statues by the bridges, that we couldn't see from the street level. Strolling at the river level, it was very peaceful away from the traffic and busyness of the city. Also at the Ile de la Cite, we discovered a beautiful peaceful park at the western tip of the island.
From the cruise boat, we were able to enjoy the view of the Ile de la Cite, with the stunning Notre Dame. And enjoyed the sights leisurely.
On the double decker bus, we appreciated different views of the river as we were raised from the street level.
The sights are more spectacular at sunset as the sunlight changes the visual perception of the colour of the buildings, bridges and the river.

We arrived in Paris on the Friday of our Wedding Anniversary, and decided to book this tour for the evening. The menu was lovely, the service was great, and they all spoke English (and they seemed to appriciate my attempt at French, which I admit is very very rusty!)
Only thing I would suggest, is that they include some live music as there was nothing other than eating the food or looking at Paris by night, which if you were not by the attractions you wouldn't know what they were, as nothing was mentioned.
