“Best choco eclair ever !!”
Reviewed April 30, 2014 via mobile

The choco eclair and the religieuse are powerful in taste, excellent presentation. The 'ganache' does not drop when you cut the pastry. During week end time, you can get the season eclair also yummi. A must !

“Gorgeous patisserie”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

Stopped by patisserie Stohrer and was very impressed by the lovely pastries they had on offer. Would definitely recommend the tarte aux abricots! A bit on the pricy side but definitely worth it just for the experience.

“Great macaroons and gelato”
Reviewed April 5, 2014

Terrific macaroons, baguettes and gelato to bring home and enjoy with your family. The staff was extremely helpful and very kind to us Americans who did not speak much French.

“Save yourself for the Mother of Patissiers”
Reviewed April 3, 2014

Founded in 1730 by the patissier of Versailles and creater of the Baba au Rhum, Stohrer is set in the cool Montorgueil neighbourhood. I've tried most of their wonderful creations, but the Baba au Rhum is simply sublime. They're also a chocolatier and traiteur. You have a bit of one stop shopping and eating. There is no seating. Take away only. I usually buy my pastries on my way back to the Gar du Nord to take home or eat on the train.
Friendly staff, too.

“Oldie but a goodie”
Reviewed March 20, 2014 via mobile

Oldest patisserie in Paris. We went out of our way to go just so we could say we went. Sounds a little better than telling people you went to this patisserie on the corner of this street near the louvre right??
Food is premium price but also of premium quality.. Classics done classically and that's what makes this place so good. Not that I was alive but eating something that's made the same way it was made 40-50-100 years ago. I liked that! Everything we had was good but I personally didn't like the famed baba Ah rum recommended by Anthony Bourdain! Not to my taste. Not the best value but you can say you ate where the queen ate. Worth a visit.
