Owner description: Located in the 18th Arrondissement, this elevated rural neighborhood on the outskirts of the city has a collection of upscale shops and cafés and still exudes hints of old village charm.

Several artists offer they paints, draws or music to the tourists. Many cafes and tiny restaurants for having a good time there, however I could not find anything else than this and the local church to enjoy. For me, is not a good enough place to take a tour.

Found this a lovely area to stay and eat in with decent prices and lots of street artists, good transport links and nice atmosphere.

My husband and I spent the day in Monmarte during our recent trip to Paris and had a great time! We stopped and picked up a delicious rotisserie chicken, bread and cheese and had a picnic on the steps of the Sacred Heart Church. Speaking of steps, there are A LOT of them in Monmarte so be prepared for a fair amount of physical activity to get to the main attractions of this charming neighborhood. Totally worth it!

I had heard so much about this place before I traveled there and it lived up to every expectation I had previously formed about it. Of course it was in winter, so I didn't get to take advantage of what I imagine it to be in warmer weather. It is well worth the trip!
