“A monumental roundabout, central to many other key attractions.”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

Really it's just a big roundabout. It has historical significance, but i imagine this will be a place you'll visit while en route to somewhere else. Worth a quick look around, but with so many incredible (and better) attractions in this city, it's not a priority.

“Ok to walk through”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

It's worthwhile walking from the Louvre to Arc de Triomphe, during which you can pass Place de la Concorde. I would not go over there just to see this one attraction.

“An Historical Parisian Landmark”
Reviewed February 11, 2013 via mobile

If you have a few days in Paris the best way to soak up its atmosphere is to walk. One of the best walks is from the Louvre to the Arc de Triomphe (or vice versa). In doing so you will come to the Place de la Concorde. It is very busy, much traffic and pedestrians. The fountains and statues are magnificent, but for me the main attraction is the Egyptian obelisk.
Knowing some of the history of the Place de la Concorde will add considerable meaning as you pass through or around. I understand that the obelisk now stands at the spot where the guillotine stood during the early part of the French Revolution.
It really is an important site and should be seen on a trip to Paris.

“Parisien History and Beauty all in place!”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

Set between the Champs Elysees and the Louvre it's a lovely place to visit with its own place in French history. Just watching the traffic converge from different directions is an experience in its own right!

“You'll be likely to see this during your visits to other attractions”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

When we visited Paris, we didn't plan to visit this place, but to pass through it while visiting other attractions. In my opinion, as a single attraction, it doesn't have too much to give. Yes, it has beautiful fountains on it, some nice statues and the Egyptian Obelisk, all worth seeing. But when combined with other attractions, it has a lot more to offer, maybe even a little bit of understanding for the wonderful street design of Paris and its most famous landmarks.
