Some architecture can still paralyse me. Pantheon is one of them. And I can still use a lot of time study Faucoults famous watch. This time I was surprised of the many paintings.

This is actually a bit off the beaten track but even walking can be done easily as you wind your way through the old streets which in itself is an interesting venture.

I decided to finally go in and really happy I did so
the inside is magnificent - painted walls and ceilings. great statues
there is also a crypt in the basement where famous French people's remains are kept. it is a huge honour to be at the Pantheon
the building itself is spectacular and presides over the latin quarter

This is the second Pantheon we have visited. Definitely worth the visit if you enjoy history and architecture

I thought this was just a structure that was a converted church, but downstairs is an amazing crypt of some very famous people. Voltaire, Marie Curie, Victor Hugo And others. It was a big surprise. Definitely worth visiting.
