A pretty nice park and more 'natural' than most paris parks although in the tradition of NY Central Park it is entirely engineered in order to look natural. The downside of the place is the extensive renovation, leading to several paths being closed (presumably a temporary problem) and, more importantly, the evidence of local poverty and poor upkeep: ie graffiti on the main monument and plenty of litter. It's fun to walk over the pedestrian bridge to the island and the view from the top is great.
