This park is loved by locals but out-of-the way for visitors. Use the metros to get here and you’ll discover waterfalls, ponds, cliffs, a Grecian temple, footbridges, and a couple of cafes to keep families, friends or lovers occupied for a relaxing couple of hours.

Metros 2, 5 & 7 all connect to the M7bis, a tiny round-trip metro which will take you past Parc des Buttes Chaumont. Get out at Metro Bozartis at the top of the park and try these ideas:

Stay to the left to see waterfalls and admire views.
Cross one of the suspended bridges to the Grecian temple.
Explore the many paths leading through flowerbeds and gardens.

Board the M7bis down at station Buttes Chaumont and change to the M2 at station Jaurés. Head towards Nation to see the Pére Lachaise cemetery, or towards Porte Dauphine to visit Montmartre.

I loved this park, it was big, had some great photo opportunities, and being that it was nearing summer there were plenty of people. If you ascend the hill (near the middle I guess) one can overlook most of Paris and the sunsets are amazing. Highly Recommended

Les Buttes Chaumont is truly beautiful. Harboring both pretty little hills and dramatic heights with waterfalls, this park is the fullest city park experience one could ask for. Great for picknick! Although, beware that Belleville (the neighborhood) is rather rough. Maybe it's better to bring food from the city centre.

We went up here while waiting to check into our hotel. It is used a lot by locals jogging and doing Tai Chi. So it has a nice feeling to it. The views from the top are lovely. But the streets we walked up to it were a bit dodgy. Might be better to take the Metro there.
