At a glance the museum looked like a huge one. Infact the spread is so large that the entire museum won’t come in a single frame using an 18-55 lens even when I was trying to capture it from midway between the alexander bridge and Invalides. However the inside is not that large, at least not so vast as compared to the British museum or maybe their own Louvre. At the heart of the museum lies the tomb of Napoleon I Bonaparte. The tomb is not as dynamic as the person resting below. Apart from that there are mostly army exhibits. It like a practical session after read European history. Truly what a conqueror had he been! The museum itself is very beautiful too. There are military exhibits right from the time of Louvis XIV to as recent as WWII. Entry is €9. Worth a visit.

Walking toward the golden dome of Les Invalides and arriving at the beautiful gates, you are invited into the palatial setting of the Musee de l'Armee. The courtyard is a stunning scene to behold. The military museum is beautifully arranged with lots of military pieces as well as photos and art and more. Les Invalides is beautiful, with Napoleon's Tomb in the center. Spend a couple hours here to take it all in.

Go the museum first. Very informative. You will see king Louis XIV armor as a child and then see his glory as an adult at Versailles. Save the tomb for last and have your mind blown. Amazing.

Great facility inside and out ! Considering it was by far the worst audio book system of any museum kr facility in paris - quiet, painful to wear and the server didnt seem to care in the slightest hence the 3

Cant fault the building itself or napoleons tomb very Impressive

We visited Les Invalides to see Napoleons tomb but soon realised there is so much more to see.
The expanse of the buildings & outdoor gardens take a long time to cover & to see everything & not rush, would take half the day at least.
It consists of museums, monuments & tombs of war heroes from Napoleons Grand Armee & WW1 also.
Napoleons tomb is unforgettably beautiful & sits under the huge dome which is the largest in Paris.
There is also an underground vault with funeral niches.
A great place to visit & afterwards to sit in the beautiful gardens for lunch or a rest under shady trees.
