We enjoyed our 4 days at this hotel. Beautifully appointed rooms, not large, but comfortable. Top flight staff, charming common rooms including the terrace where we had breakfast. This hotel is conveniently located near San Sulpice. We walked pretty much everywhere from there.

Return visit with our daughter and niece for four nights. Warm and welcoming staff, spotless rooms that are beautiful. The entire hotel has a club like atmosphere. Breakfast is in the small garden terrace-a perfect way to start the day in Paris! Very nice, quiet neighborhood-cafes and shopping nearby. Will return....just not soon enough! You cannot make a mistake by booking here.

We had booked this hotel quite a while ago and emailed them to request a deluxe room.
When we arrived, there was confusion at the front desk, with one employee saying we had booked a standard room and one a deluxe. Not a good start.
They did upgrade us to a duplex apartment for one night, but weren't sure where they would put us the next day.
The situation was solved by their wonderful manager, Lionel, who sorted us out and sent us a note and a bottle of champagne-very thoughtful.
The small antique-filled lobby here is lovely, but the star is the garden and fountain, where we had breakfast every day.
There is a good cafe on the corner and some very bad, yes bad, restaurants in the area.
Not all parisien chefs can cook, so be careful where you eat.
This property is very close to the Luxembourg Gardens and Palace, which are gorgeous.
There are less expensive hotels in this area, but this one is a good choice for a peaceful stay.

Room Tip: Choose a deluxe room on a higher floor, overlooking the garden.

Hotel de l'Abbaye is like a Hollywood set that has come to life. Set back off a side street, you enter through iron gates to an inviting courtyard and a small, but perfectly perfect hotel. Service was flawless from check-in to check out. Our room was sizeable and towards the front of the hotel with windows that opened to the courtyard. The best fresh orange juice - ever was served at the Continental breakfast. Fantastic location in the St. Germaine area with Le Bon Marche, Luxembourg gardens and Boulangerie Poilane right around the corner. Loved it and will definitely book again!

We have stayed in quite a number of hotels in Paris for over 20 years. However, it was our first time at Hotel de l'Abbaye. It was a pleasant surprise. We have enjoyed every minute of our stay. The cozy atmosphere provided by the premisses of the hotel, its friendly staff, its classic decoration and location made us feel like staying longer. We felt as if we were in the countryside, though at the heart of Saint-Germain. It is a charming hotel, very quiet, with comfortable rooms and, above all, very clean. Being able to enjoy breakfast at the lovely room at the back of the hotel (with a view to the hotel's pretty garden) was also a plus. The hotel is very close to the Saint-Sulpice church and metro station. The only obstacle was to park our car to deliver our luggage before moving on to the Saint-Sulpice parking garage for a longer period. In case guests go to Paris by car, the hotel's front side does not provide any "load-and-unload" area. Notwithstanding such challenge, we will return.
