We had booked this hotel quite a while ago and emailed them to request a deluxe room.
When we arrived, there was confusion at the front desk, with one employee saying we had booked a standard room and one a deluxe. Not a good start.
They did upgrade us to a duplex apartment for one night, but weren't sure where they would put us the next day.
The situation was solved by their wonderful manager, Lionel, who sorted us out and sent us a note and a bottle of champagne-very thoughtful.
The small antique-filled lobby here is lovely, but the star is the garden and fountain, where we had breakfast every day.
There is a good cafe on the corner and some very bad, yes bad, restaurants in the area.
Not all parisien chefs can cook, so be careful where you eat.
This property is very close to the Luxembourg Gardens and Palace, which are gorgeous.
There are less expensive hotels in this area, but this one is a good choice for a peaceful stay.More
