“Excellent Hotel & Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

I’ve been meaning to write a review for this lovely hotel since my fiancé and I stayed there in Sept 2012. Our duplex room was really nice and spacious, with a seating/dressing area downstairs and the sleeping area upstairs. There was a small balcony where you could stand and look out over the Parisian rooftops and an unusual window from the dressing area with a view into the shower. The hotel is in a really good location for accessing all the sites of Paris (the Louvre is a 10 minute walk away) and there are lots of Metro stations around. What really makes the hotel stand out is the friendliness of the staff. They were all so helpful if we had any questions or there was anything we needed. We asked if they could recommend a local restaurant where we could celebrate my birthday and we were given a map by the concierge with details of all the restaurants nearby so we could go and look at the menus. He even offered to walk us around the block to show us where they were if we were struggling to find them. When we got back to the hotel they phoned the one we had chosen and booked out table for us. We have recommended this hotel to all our friends and will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Paris.

This is almost a secret in Paris as it's not a hotel you'd immediately think of when visiting Paris. I just stayed there for one night on a business trip and was happily upgraded to a junior suite. On a quiet street (so important in Paris) I had a beautifully appointed sitting room with a tiny kitchenette, nice bedroom with a very comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. A short walk from anywhere and reasonably priced for Paris this is a great place to stay. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I missed was a fitness center but bearing in mind the shortness of my stay and the fact that in Paris you really have to walk everywhere I managed. Free wifi.

Top quality service. That's the impression that really leave a mark when you stay in this hotel. De L'Arcade has to be one of the very few hotels in Paris that gives top service and treat their guests as very close friends. Booked this hotel at the last minute due to an unavoidable cancellation for our trip to Normandy and we were very pleased to get to stay and experience the quality of service executed by the staff at this hotel. Even the chambermaids and technical staff we bumped into will smile and greet you. The staff manning the front desk had to be one of the friendliest and most courteous people we had met since our arrival in Paris. They were even helpful in recommending us the places where we can go and visit while in Paris. When we told the friendly and nice lady at the front desk that we were going to Disneyland, she passed to us a voucher and stamped the company logo on the voucher entitling us to a substantial discount to Disneyland. Needless to say, we were very pleased at her initiative. We stayed at the Residence Apartment part of the hotel and it is a very big and spacious room with a well-stocked mini-bar and a small kitchen counter with microwave. The bathroom is very huge and spacious and well-stocked with quality toiletries. The wi-fi connection is superb and the view of the streets from our room is gorgeous. Only complain I have here is that it's actually expensive and the breakfast at the hotel is expensive and with hardly a variety to offer. But most of Europe hotels are that way anyway. I will definitely stayed again at this hotel due to its excellent service.

Room Tip: Do not spend money for breakfast here as it is not worth the price.

The Hotel De L'Arcade is located around 30 metres from it's sister hotel Chateau Frontenac.

This Hotel is very well managed, is clean quiet and tastefully decorated, and offers free WiFi,
It is ideal for both tourists and shopping, as it is located between the rues St Honore Fauburg St Honore, the rue Rivoli, the Madeline, The Opera and Les Galleries La Fayette.

Since excellent restaurants, bistros, coffe shops etc are abundant in this area, I recommend that you dine outside the hotel as it is cheaper. The food in both these hotels is of good quality but is more expensive and does not have the variety available close by.

For example the Boulangerie, Les Caprices De Charlotte offers excellent breads, croissants, pastry, omeletts, quiche, fresh juice, sandwiches, salads, coffee very cheaply, and is my preferred choice for a quick breakfast or lunch. It is 50 metres to the left of this Hotel.

The Restaurant Pompeii serves excellent Italian food, including pizza together with a well priced house wine. It is ideal for a reasonably priced lunch or supper, and is just beside Les Caprices....

Room Tip: Better prices for these Hotels can be found on the net.

We stayed for one night for the Paris Marathon and wish we'd stayed longer!

The hotel is beautiful. It is on a quite street, but is just a short walk to the Champs Elysees and the metro. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly both on email and in person arranging, for a parking space and late check out. Would definitely stay again.

After a long journey from Melbourne, Australia, Hotel de l'Arcade was the perfect place to call home while in Paris. The staff were welcoming and helpful in ensuring we got the most out of our 4 day stay. Located in the very nice 8th arrondissement of Paris, this hotel is in walking distance of the Louvre, Eiffel Tower and Champs-Élysées. Surrounded by upmarket shops the area felt very safe and was relatively quiet during the night. The hotel itself was incredibly charming and comfortable providing good value for money. A great place to stay in Paris!

A little delayed review. Such a charming hotel and close to the Metro. Only disappointment was that my stay was too short - 3 days. Lovely room on the top floor with a balcony to view some of the city. Very close to the shopping district of Galleries Lafayette and Printemps. Would certainly go back.
