“Fantastic service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2012

We had a great experience at this hotel, the room was spacious and spotless, comfy bed, the service was outstanding, they couldn't do more for you, location was close to everything, we loved the bakery at the end of the street, noise level was low and the cafes in the are very close and wonderful. I loved our experience at this hotel and Paris.

Room Tip: There is no restaurant in this hotel but you can go next door, they own both and have a drink and a...

Hotel very well situated near the Madeleine (champs elysées, Louvre, shopping...) all within walking distance.
Rooms are spacious (compared to french standards) and are well equipped with airco, minibar and safe. Service at reception is friendly and efficient.
Possibility to have a parking space in carpark under Madeleine (should be asked in advance).
Hotel recommended and will certainly return

Room Tip: Recommended value for money

I know you usually hear location as the best quality, and, it did have that, but the staff made the hotel. From the moment we arrived, early from an overseas flight, we were delighted to find we could check in early. The front desk staff, always greeted us with a smile and a friendly hello, bonjour, bonsoir, or how was your day? By the end of our week stay, they knew our room number, and I was handled my key upon approaching the desk. A special note must be made to "Praxede" on the front desk. Praxede had over heard that we were celebrating a birthday, and when I asked for restaurant suggestions, she made a reservation and let the restaurant know that we were celebrating, and it made for a much more celebratory occasion. She went that one step extra. Praxede suggested a few places to eat, some close and one, a cab ride away, but we would never have tried it without her suggestion - which was a good thing. The room was spacious and bright, being on the corner, as we had four large windows, with black out blinds if needed. The breakfast room was beside the lobby. It was comfortable and well stocked with all you could want in an extended continental breakfast. Our server always made sure we had our hot coffee or tea. A lovely fresh flower bouquet was in the lobby. I noticed three different ones over the course of the week. There were places to sit in the lobby if you wanted to read the paper. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was walking distance to many sights and shopping, as well as had many restaurant options within easy walking distance too. The decor was elegant and contemporary — not that hotel look that is so big in chain hotels.

Room Tip: Room 602 has three beds & is on the top floor with a corner perspective. Very spacious & bri...

This was a great hotel. The location was wonderful and you could walk to many of the paris tourist attractions. We were a family of four travelling with two adult children. We had interconnecting rooms. The rooms were very spacious for a Paris hotel and the bathroom was a very good size. The rooms and bathrooms were absolutely spotless. We stayed over Easter for six nights and when we returned on Easter Sunday in both of our rooms there was a lovely chocolate Easter bunny from the beautiful chocolate shop around the corner. What a lovely surprise!
The staff were incredibly helpful and patient and would go all sorts of trouble to help us with our endless questions about locations we wanted to get to.
There are several restaurants close by. I have to say they were all great but wouldn't try the pizza place again - not at all friendly or helpful.
The only negative about this hotel was that the lady in the breakfast room could have been a little more friendly and welcoming but we didn't worry about that really.
This hotel should be rated much higher it is a great place to stay!

Three nites in May was not enough. Rue de l'Arcade is in a neighborhood near La Madeleine and its metro and two-three blocks from Place de la Concorde, and very peaceful (there are several small hotels in the area). Had a nice room on the street side, very pleasant. The staff was friendly, gracious, and very helpful. Breakfast, if desired, was in a room on the main floor with windows, not down in some basement. It's an excellent buffet. Just down the street is an charming pattisserie for rolls, breads, coffee, and fresh squeezed juice! The hotel has a restaurant arrangement with another hotel next door, but there are some small restaurants a few steps away - Papa's features duck dishes with atmosphere. Cost about 200 euro/nite.

We stayed at this hotel from May 13-18. Great location, but more than that a wonderful accomadating staff. Whatever we asked of them they took care of. They were so nice and pleasant.

The room was clean and lovely with a bathroom that allowed you to take a shower without the water spraying all over the floor. Breakfast was excellent .

We we ould definately go back again ;

We were able to check in to our room at 10am after an overnight flight from Canada...this gave us a chance for a few hours of sleep before our first day walk around Paris. The location is excellent for getting everywhere, on foot, or Metro....plus the benefit of the Roissybus from the airport direct to the Opera which is only a 10 minute walk to the hotel. We spent six nights in a beautiful end room and then returned from Provence for two more nights in the Suite! The staff were reliably friendly and helpful with our requests....which included getting a doctor, who gave excellent care as well! Great breakfast, cleanliness and comfort !

Room Tip: Upper floor, end room!
