The finest hotel I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in many Four Seasons and other wonderful places. This place tops them all!

Concierge that will do anything. They are happy to see children.

We stayed in a fourth floor room looking out of the Ave George V. I was afraid it would be noisy. The windows must be two inches thick. Not a sound.

Perfect English and French speaking staff. Charming, fun, relaxed. Everyone has smile like they know you know you have just arrived in the most wonderful slice of heaven in the most exciting city.

Expensive but I'm happy to pay it now and again soon.

This was our first stay in a 4-seasons property. We were visiting our eldest daughter who is studying in Paris for her birthday.
Although our room was not ready on arrival we were treated to free drinks until it was.
The service was exemplary throughout. Even the arrival of the Rolling Stones during our stay did not adversely affect the service mere mortals like us received.
The concierge service was second to none and they even managed to get us a table in the Jules Verne restaurant in the Eiffel Tower at 24hrs notice in the midst of summer.
Overall I can't speak highly enough of this hotel and we firmly intend putting more of our business their way and that is the highest accolade of all.

What can I say? This hotel earns its reputation. It is absolutely incredible in every way. So much so, that a person like myself who is not use to such fancy posh elegance was even a little uncomfortable there, though not due in any way to the staff.

My girlfriend, now fiancee, arrived there to conclude our European vacation. I got us a suite and they had flowers and champagne waiting upon our arrival. It was such a magnificent room and moment that I went ahead and proposed to her there. Might as well take advantage of it.

Really, everything about the hotel was great. Breakfast was included in our room price, so we had it delivered every morning. They brought it up and completely laid it out on the table for us. Very fancy and professional. Very nice. One night we ate at the more casual restaurant they have and it was incredible. Very friend staff. Very pricey. We didn't eat at Le Cinq, but if it is better than that, I imagine it must be nice.

Everything about the rooms are incredible. The showers and bathtubs are insanely nice. The beds are supremely comfortable and the pillows were perfect. Every staff member we encountered were unbelievably friendly and it didn't seem forced or fake at all. Really we probably spent more time in our room than out seeing Paris just to really take advantage of the place. It was absolutely incredible. I really don't have a negative comment to say about the hotel. If you can afford it, you should do it at least once in your life.

We stayed for five days to celebrate a special birthday. We had high hopes and we weren't disappointed.

Fantastic suite with a view of the Eiffel Tower - yes you pay for it but what a view!

No coffee making facilities in the room which was a shame but the gym - wow! What a treat! We were given eucalyptus infused towels straight from the fridge to mop our brows as we sweated in the hot tub! The pool was glorious and the guys in the bar gave me a single yellow rose one night. Sweet!

The best thing? The use of the George V mercedes! With liveried chauffeur - how Pretty Woman did I feel arriving with my hubby in that car! Everything was first class and then some. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go again. Any time.

Fantastic hotel. Great location. Expensive but superb service - if you can stretch the budget for this - do it!

Succumbing to rave reviews similar to those one finds here, dining at Le Cinq was much dreamed about and highly anticipated.

And indeed, the luxury of the dining room is impressive and grand, although the first grain of doubt, that is good taste yielding to knock-out ostentation, creeps insidiously at the first steps walking to the table.

The next astonishment, swallowed silently , came with the welcoming starter arrival - how was it possible in a three-star Parisian establishment to serve proscuitto with absolutely no invention – just plain good old proscuitto on the plate? We were not in Italian trattoria…That was a bit shocking, and ominous - the quality of the restaurant can ALWAYS be judged by this chef's treat before anything else arrives. It is the same in purpose as the first dazzling aria in an opera, made up to hold one’s breath, to astonish, to set up the mood for the remainder of the performance. Le Cinq was a perfect example of the rule, unfortunately.

After such a starter, the proudly announced duck, advertised as having been cooked for 24 hours, revealed its best kep secret of being just a chewy sweet overcooked piece of protein, accompanied with Chinese style green beans, suspiciously reminding of the taste of China town in any major American city.

Dessert was just as mediocre, and it was funny how pompous everything was described by the staff, with their eyes rolling in ecstasy, only to end up so bland and plain on the plate. Indeed the service was the best ingredient of the dinner, persuasive and even hypnotic - waiters were speaking so solemnly, with awe and reverence about the dishes. And then, after the sobering tastelessness of the first bite it was only too painful to feel the inability to join them in their near-religious worship of this eclectic edible food. One explanation may be that they never try Le Cinq food themselves because it’s so exorbitantly expensive that the management prohibits even the chef to taste a spoon or two?

It is sad to see how the desire to be different and extravagant exterminated the bottom-line - serving fine French cuisine to delight all senses. Le Cinq must be so hype and in vogue due to the prestige they managed to create, and perhaps the diners simply don't dare to admit how poor the food is after paying a fortune for an evening of a surrealistic gastronomic discovery.

And one last note – the décor and flowers in the clear vases must be Four Seasons signature, as in Cairo or in Boston the decorations are very similar. Which takes the previously assigned admiration for originality somewhat away.

Let it always be One Feasting Season in Paris, as in can be discovered in so many other great places, like L’Espadon, to compare truffles to truffles.
