“A Showcase of Splendor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

This lovely home that has become the Musee Jacquemart-Andre showcase for the collection of art accumulated by Nelie and Edouard Andre is really exception. The art work consists of their lifetime collections of 15th century Italian art, 17th century Dutch and 18th century English and French. In additon, there are beautiful ceilings and tapastries. The entire house is open to view with each room presenting different art that had been collected by the family. The audio guides tell a wonderful story. In addtion, there is a lovely garden and a tea room open for light lunches, tea, and brunches.

The wonderfully maintain residence and art museum was a gem. The museum rotates part of its' art so make sure you find out what the special display is before you go. Cost was worth the visit.

“Beautiful Small Paris Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2013

We arrived about 1:30 PM-no lines and not crowded. There was a special show on and was included in the museum price. The audio guide in English was also included in the price. The guide helped us to enjoy these major works of art. You CAN take pictures in the museum but with the flash turned off. A really major collection in a mansion museum. We saw the whole museum in a couple of hours and were not rushed or crowded.

“Nice manor, nice restaurant and i guess a nice museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2013

I recommend to have lunch or enjoy a tea time there. Delicious desserts and the place is just beautiful. Gobelins, statues and a ceiling painted by Tiepolo.
