“Beautiful mansion and wonderful art”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

This museum offers an insight look on the lives of an extremely well-to-do family who collected art and almost dedicated their house to it; they build special rooms for their key pieces. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The audio guide was very helpful. Our two young children enjoyed the visit as well.

“museum was as interesting as the exhibition”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

I had never heard of this museum before. I came to see the Eugene Boudin retrospective. It is a gem. Beautiful old house with wonderful private collection on view; décor, art, furniture, religious artifacts, sculpture. The winter garden is as impressive now as when it was first built. We ate in the original dining room and admired the tapestries, paintings, lamps and frescoes while we ate.
An oasis amid the hustle and definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful museum in a beautiful old home. Great for events as well. Impressive collection. Good if you are looking for a great art museum that is not crowded.
