We booked this tour through Viator. Our guide's name was Adam. He holds a PhD in Nuclear something. Anyway, he was so knowledgeable and engaging. The tour far exceeded our expectations. 10 out of 10.

The Louvre is gigantic and busy. Be ready for long lines, especially to see the Mona Lisa. To truly give it justice you'd need a week where you just focused on one or two floors. The museum is well organized and set up in a logical way

You should try to enter from the Metro Stop or the attached mall. The Pyramid entrance, even with a Museum Pass on a Friday at 5p is packed -- we waited an hour to get in.

We have been to the Louvre (loover, pronounced like hoover) during the day and you are packed in like sardines. So this third trip to Paris we went on Friday when they stay open late.

It was great, once we got in -- we thought with the Museum Pass it would be walk right in. But so many people buy the pass that that line is long too. You can use the pass to get in from the mall or metro and save time.

I downloaded Rick Steve's Louvre in two hours audio tour and found it very interesting as I had already done the audio guide that you can rent at the Louvre before.

Buy your tickets ahead of time and arrive
early in the morning. It becomes extremely
crowded. Very large with exhibits spread
out. The day we went, the Egyptian exhibit
was closed, big disappoint !
