This is a great place to either cruise around or sit and just admire the creative greats of the past. take at least 4 hrs to cruise without stopping and you will see a lot of the best things on show and even those in your group or family who are not into art will not get bored. The outside grounds are also a great place to walk early mornings. Don't forget the place starts shutting down and throwing you out 15 to 20 minutes before the official closing time

I liked that the line was moving very fast - we got in in under 20 minutes. It was a first Sunday of the month, so it was a no ticket day. We didn't cover the entire musee, just a few stops, in our sort of check the box style. It was a beautiful day outside and we didn't want to pretend that staring at ancient ladies with bebes touches us more than staring at not less beautiful parisians.

It should be one of the seven world wonder. A very lovely museum. My family and I love it.You have to plan your visit as it's impossible to visit the whole Louvre in 1 day.

You need weeks here!
We had one afternoon, so we paid for the Nintendo Ds self guided tour and picked the museum highlights tour, which is great as it takes you to all the 'must see' stuff for your average tourist (like us!).
There is so much more to it and we barely scratched the surface, but felt we had got out of it what we wanted without much stress.

Short lines in late August. I love the Mona Lisa and the Venus the Milo. I was pleasant.y surprised by the quality of the cafeteria food.
