The Louvre is huge so spend ample time here if you are really into arts and history. Otherwise, just look at the highlights which you can see in the museum guide/map especially the very popular Mona Lisa. Or, get an audio guide or a book just so you don't get overwhelmed by what you see in front of you and wondering what it is all about. Amusing to see tourists enjoying themselves outside near the pyramid with some wading their feet in the waters of the fountain. A lot of photo opportunities too. This is another must see and popular attraction in Paris so expect long queues during summer unless you buy tickets online or use the Paris pass.

I've been many times and always find something new and event the most famous works still amaze me.

We, by chance, went on Bastille Day which is free and is just fantastic. There aren't many other museiums with a collection like it.

Huge amounts works of art of looted - bought together. Of course, if you do not already have some of destroyed. Waiting in the safety analysis. Many days feature gets to wander around and have not seen it all! Only leaders should listen to the first few times! Each exhibit should bring at least a day. We are accompanied by an art historian and a wonderful two days we spent. Of course we did not see everything. Why Will go back!

The exhibits are very interesting and worth the visit. As it is a very popular tourist spot, it is very crowded and be careful with pick pockets. Recommended to go at the earliest possible time to avoid the crowd.

We went in july. I've been warned. I still cannot believe the amount people in this enormous museum with the lack of airflow. If you are not into museum, this will be overwhelming. Do your homework to see what you want to see and stick to it. Everyone skip over so many beautiful art work to get to the Mona lisa. It is so sad that many excellent art work could not be appreciated fully because of such crowd, hot rooms, and high level of noise. We left after a couple of hours because we could not enjoy it...maybe go before it closes or first opens. D'orsay was more enjoyable if you enjoy traditional museum with low noise and just enough people. We had the museum pass. Must get to skip the long line. Break it up and return another day if you can so you dont get burn-out
