“Impressive building”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

This is an amazing museum, the building itself is impressive more so we thought than the art inside it. If you can book on-line in advance. It was January when we went and we still had to queue to get in through the entrance into the Louvre, then once inside we had to queue again for the automated ticket machines or the ticket booths. You also have to queue for the cloakroom. I would recommend putting your cloak in as it is free and you will do a lot of walking. The Louvre is so big you could easily spend a day or two inside looking at everything. The more famous of the artwork is split up on different floors and different ends of the buildings but there is a pretty comprehensive guide which is free showing you were everything is.

“You absolutely have to go”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

The Louvre is a must in Paris. Everytime I go to Paris, I go again. You cannot take the whole thing in one day, and there are sections for every mood. If you have never been, you have to go see the mona lisa and the venus de milo. If you have already seen them, it is a great experience jus t to go again, or visit the egyptian, or islamic art sections. I always have a great time there.

The Louvre cannot disappoint. Whatever you are interested in: paintings, sculptures, Egyptian tombs, Roman and Greek art, etc., the Louvre has it all.

“Lovely!”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

So much to do and so much culture. If you don't like art head to the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo (just to say you've seen it) and then go to the Egyptian and Greek section for some history (and the giant sphinx).
