We stayed here for four nights in mid-August, when tourists throng the streets of Paris, but when many Parisians have literally shut up shop and headed for the South. Hotel Caron is a charming small hotel with lovely and unusual antique furnishings. Extremely friendly and helpful hands-on management and a small but excellent staff. The hotel could not be much better situated for walking forays into the fascinating streets of the Marais. Wonderful street creperies, side-walk bars and kosher cafes are all around and the beautiful Place des Vosges is about a 15 minute walk. The Seine and Notre Dame are only minutes away to the south.

The rooms were small - as always in Paris - and ours was spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet, as well as very well furnished. The staff were helpful at all times and we felt very well looked after. We will certainly return.

We wanted to stay for our second night in a different part of Paris and found this hotel which is in the heart of the marais district, another very lively and original neighbourhood !

Very helpfull staff, original reception ; our room was on the 5th floor, street side and a tiny balcony, just enough for a small table and 2 chairs... The room itself was quite nice and was what we were looking for : old charm ! We took a 'breakfast in bed', typical French style, but adding so much to the atmosphere.. We would do it immediately again.

A must in the marais is a visit to the 'marche des enfants rouge', it seems to be the oldest market in paris, we loved it and you've got so much choice for a nice lunch... For dinner we can recommend 'le gorille blanc', a very cosy restaurant with great food, service and affordable wines !
Just make sure to make reservations in the weekend.

When staying in the marais you're quite close to a lot of interesting places, and on sunday afternoon the streets around the hotel get blocked for car trafic and a lot of parisians come in for a stroll through the streets.

Definitely a good new find for us, even knowing and visiting Paris already for some time...

We spent 3 nights here early in September. We were delighted with our room which was on the 6th floor with a little balcony overlooking the surrounding rooftops. The room, although quite small, was absolutely charming and we really felt as though we were experiencing something truly Parisian. The location is fabulous and is within walking distance to so many attractions close by. This was our third trip to Paris and the first time we have enjoyed just doing our own thing having been to the main tourist places previously on organised tours. It was wonderful just to wander around the quaint little streets of the Marais district, sit outside a patisserie enjoying a coffee and watching the world go by, wandering down to Ille St Louis, Notre Dame, the village of St Paul, Bastille. All of the staff of duty were most friendly and helpful. If you want a true Parisian experience then this boutique hotel will not disappoint.

My mother and I had a long weekend at Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais and we couldn't have been more delighted. From the moment of our arrival, every member of staff, (and Bobby the dog), were smiling, helpful and polite. The level of English spoken, even by the night staff was terrific.
I have only added one atmospheric photo to our review as the other user photos and the hotel's own do it justice. The rooms are small, but no more than many other Paris hotels. The furniture is beautiful. My only "negative" comment and this is meant more for constructive use by people using these reviews, is the furniture would not be suitable for a "big" man; it is delicate, sometimes spindly, antique pieces and so perhaps the furnishings are more suited to women or men who aren't rugby players. Perhaps.... The bathrooms are big by Paris standards, (tiny by USA).
The location is great, not only for walking around the Marais, Ile Saint Louis, Notre Dame etc but the local buses go straight to the main tourist attractions and those that aren't served by a direct bus are served by a direct Metro line.
And, lastly but not least, their breakfast coffee is really good with lovely fresh croissants.

We really had a pleasent stay ath this Hotel, the room was clean, charming and it had that special character that you can find only in Paris. At the reception desk everyone was kind and helpful. The location is great: in 10-15 minutes by walk you can reach Notre Dame, Louvre, St Germaine area, place de Vosges.
I've been in Paris 8 times and I guess next time I will come back to Caron.

This is a small boutique hotel in Le Marais. I found it to be a lovely places to stay. The staff are wonderful. The rooms are very clean and are tastefully decorated, although they are looking a bit old (still charming, though). The only downside I found is that there is no safe in the room for your valuables. The bathrooms are clean and are supplied with towels, bath gels and bathrobes. The shower water pressure was great. The hotel is located in a good spot, close to everything you will need and also close to St. Paul metro station. Plenty of shops and restaurants (and chocolatiers!) nearby within walking distance. The hotel is only small, but this s what makes it so charming. All staff speak excellent English and are extremely helpful. I loved my five day visit to Paris and this hotel was part of the reason. I don't think you could find a better place to stay!

We only spent 2 nights at the hotel, but it was a very wonderful experience. The staff was kind and helpful at all times for all requests and inquiries. We didn't try the food so I don't have any feedback in that area. The hotel's location is superb. It was well maintained clean and tidy the entire time.

Room Tip: The top floor has balcony rooms overlooking a bit of Paris, just wonderful.
