We arrived in Paris by car and being in the central Marais district of Paris, parking was at a premium, but Philip (the hotel manager) had managed to secure a "parking" spot directly outside the hotel so that we could unload the car. Like many other "boutique" hotels in Paris, the Caron is not overly large but as soon as we entered we felt the "cosiness" and were made very welcome by Philip (nothing was too much trouble).
The rooms, while not being large, had a true old Parisian flavour and the bed was very comfortable. All the necessary items that one would expect (hair dryer, iron etc) were provided although wardrobe space was a bit limited.
We selected the option of having breakfast served in our room. A good selection was provided and one could also dine in a small breakfast room off the ground floor.
We had a requirement to consult a doctor who could speak English and Philip organised an appointment for us within the hour (the doctor was just over the road!). We also needed parking for the car and Philip contacted a parking station just 50 metres up Rue de Rivoli and organised discount parking for us (we were there for 5 days!)
When we return to Paris we will definitely stay again at the Caron de Beaumarchais.More
