HIGH CLASS EXCELLENCE

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jun 18, 2019
I had something important to celebrate and therefor I tried a reservation to Fouquet's
I ve thought that the place is the non plus ultra of the old money snobs but I had one of my best experience. Very warm welcome , friendly personnel. All meant to feel yourself in maximum comfort.
Recommendations for the vines perfect , champagne same . The food is simply delicious , probably the best beefsteak tartar in Paris , steamed fish with a vegetable mousse , velvet , desert best ever , mignardise. The service is elegant , you really feel treated as a king. A special thanks goes to Sophie who did her maximum to make us feel special. Thank you Sophie and thank you the whole staff. Superlative
Soon we will back

Second visit to this hotel. When two years ago I was here I rated it 5+! Thought it was the best hotel ever. This time I was a bit disappointed with my stay – though the room was the same – Junior suite with a small terrace – and the room is totally great, it even has a view on the Eiffel Tower, the rest quite disappointed me.
First, the hotel is doing some construction works on the restaurant (which I believe was burnt during the previous peaceful demonstration) and the breakfast was served in the lobby, making it uncomfortable and actually annoying. The staff, especially the security wasn’t very friendly, which is strange. It took a lot of effort to agree with the concierge on a courier service that we have required. Unnecessary hassle and misunderstanding. Something that you don’t expect and want in the hotel of this level.
And finally – in the bar we saw a mouse. Strange place for a mouse to reside. And the staff of the bar was not surprised, they just asked us if it was a big mouse. When I said no, a small one, the bar manager said that it was OK. I don’t dislike mice, nevertheless I think this is not OK….
Overall I am more disappointed by the stay than happy. Question mark if I will ever return to this hotel. A pity, since the first impression was just great.

Dear Guest,

It was a real pleasure to welcome you back to our “Hotel Barrière Le Fouquet’s Paris” during your recent stay in the City of Lights and I really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback of your experience.

I understand we were unable to provide you with the usual standards of service for which we are renowned due to the construction work in our Hôtel and I would like to extend my most sincere apologies for the disappointment caused.

At the outset, please rest assured that hygiene is of paramount importance to us and that we have the most strict pest control procedures in place. By means of explanation only, there is an enormous amount of construction work underway in the immediate vicinity of the hotel bar on the ground floor which is the source of this problem. The area affected is the bar which is just beside the avenue George V and close to the Champs Elysées and I can assure you that the problem does not exist in any other part of the hotel. Over the past few weeks we have reinforced the number of treatments of our site carried out by service provider in charge of pest control and we will continue to do so until we have completely resolved this matter.

Please rest assured of the great value we place on our continued relationship with all of our guests. I do hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future as we would very much welcome the opportunity to restore your faith in our hotel.

With my very best personal regards,
Geraldine Dobey

The hotel is a luxury hotel in the heart of Paris. The location is well known with its red sun shades Le Fouquet’s restaurant.

The staff are really helpful and professional. I was suppose to stay until Saturday Dec. 1st 2018 but I was afraid of riot and asked the Hotel to check out one day early to shift to a hotel near the airport. Even though my reservation is non-refundable they allowed me to check out earlier and refunded the unstayed one night.

Definitely coming back to this hotel.

We walked along this amazing avenue, people watched to our hearts content and then found this beautiful hotel. It was, like many others decked out for Christmas with a swiss-style chalet theme. It seemed appropriate to stop for coffee and I have to say (besides the price) it was probably the best coffee we had. They served it with a complimentary tray of sweets but the coffee - make sure you try it. Ignore the price and enjoy the whole experience. The only comment would be that the men at the door were a little cold - but it was the middle of winter!

Ridiculous stay, everything is closed, no information regarding the renovation works. Blaring construction every morning at 8am sharp they sounded like we were in a war zone, the walls of our room were literally rattling, at the check-out time no reduction you need to pay full-price almost 900$ for hotel without restaurant. The bar in the lobby is very old and not clean. Sorry but this hotel is not recommended so stay in Paris specially with the extremely high price. Don't stay here during major renovations. Maybe my expectations were too high. Breakfast was good and service pleasant, thank you Vivien and Fabio for the specially care.
