First time in Paris and celebrated a 25th wedding anniversary. We were more accustomed to staying at Westin, Four seasons !Ritz Carlton,
We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel, there is a very friendly English speaking staff who are all Concierge
A small but intimate bar / breakfast area that is very charming, leading out to a courtyard ( could not use it as it showered every day)
If it,s your first time in Paris, I suggest the Paris pass for Metro, Museum access?the hop on off bus was great for acquainting yourself with geography then using the metro! which is color coded and quite easy.
Food and drinks at the hotel are 5 star hotel prices
Proximity to the grand boulevard however is well worth the minor flaws with this hotel

Room Tip: Room 503 facing the street with a small balcony. Can be a bit noisy but did not trouble us.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Lancaster at the end of our French holiday for 4 nites.

Our room was comfortable and roomy and, to our delight, decorated with roses for our anniversary -- very sweet touch, thank you!

The front desk is very helpful with directions and restaurant selections and the entire rest of the staff, from the doorman to the lounge staff, is very friendly and accommodating.

The breakfasts were delicious and copious -- also offering eggs cooked any style for those with a hearty breakfast appetite.

While we would definately return to this hotel while in Paris, we had only one small criticism. At times it seemed as though people were literally walking in and around our room -- noise that seemed to emanate from rooms next to ours on the 6th floor and/or rooms above us -- then traveling thru our walls into our room.

Nothing that the staff could control and likely a function of the age of the building.

Thank you Hotel Lancaster for your hospitality and service!

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for having taken the time to write your comments following your recent stay with us.

It was indeed a pleasure to read that you were satisfied with our services and enjoyed your stay with us. I am however very concerned by your constructive remark regarding the noise in the room. Of course, we will take your remarks in consideration on a future refurbishment.

On a more positive note, your enthusiasm for our staff especially the Front desk is very much appreciated and will be a great source of motivation for them. I will certainly not fail to convey your very kind compliments to them.

We all look forward to welcoming you again in the near future.

My wife and I stayed at the Lancaster for four nights in November and found it to be excellent.

First and foremost, the staff were brilliant. Extremely helpful in assisting us with bookings and reservations, and always smiling and attentive, could not have been better.

The hotel itself is stunning. The rooms are beautifully appointed in classic French style. We had a double (or deluxe maybe) which was huge, especially large for a Parisian hotel. Comfortable king bed and pillows, large bathroom and excellent shower/bath. If there was a downside, then you can hear quite a bit of noise between rooms at times, which is to some degree expected in these very old buildings. We fortunately had quiet neighbours for our stay, but if noise bothers you a lot, and you spend a lot of time in your room when travelling, then you would want to request a quiet room.

The location is perfect for the Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe with the George V metro right nearby. Louis Vuitton is only steps away too :)

We had a beautiful breakfast in the hotel, which at 40 euros per head is not cheap, but the food and service was excellent. There are plenty of other breakfast and eating options nearby as well.

Overall, we were really happy with the Lancaster and will definitely stay again in the future.

We were lucky enough to be able to stay at the Lancaster for 3 nights in a Prestige room for our honeymoon. It really was a dream come true, right on the Champs-Élysées, but still on a quiet street. The bed was huge, beautiful bathroom with an enormous bath. We found Champagne and a rose heart on our bed the first night. Breakfast selection was large and in a beautiful room. The staff were amazing and remembered our names. At our request they booked a dinner reservation for us, but after researching it we asked (with our tails between our legs!) if they could perhaps recommend somewhere a little less pricey for us. They were more than happy to do this without making us feel embarrassed. The restaurant they recommended and booked was perfect. We loved our stay here and can highly recommend it.

Stayed at the lancaster for my 2nd time in Paris and I must admit it was a good experience. This hotel went under some kind of renovation since my last visit and it looks pretty good. My room was some kind of noisy but service was very attentive. Many 5 stars are now closed in Paris so it remains a good option for me to return.

Room Tip: The higher the better to avoid noise

Absolutely marvellous hotel where we felt like we were staying in a mansion rather than a hotel. The room was lovely and the hotel had it's own ambience that was extremely dignified. The location of the hotel cannot be faulted, being less than 50 meters from Champs Elysees and all it's beauty and attractions. The staff are polite and attentive and were only too keen to help make our stay a pleasant one. Overall, we were very happy and would recommend to others to stay there.

My wife and I choose The Hotel Lancaster based on the advice of friends who had stayed here many years ago. It was our first visit to Paris and our expectations were high, The Hotel Lancaster exceeded our expectations in every way!
From the moment we arrived curbside, everything was spectacular. The bellman/doorman was prompt, kind, and professional. At the front desk, everyone we encountered was very kind, helpful and sincere in the way they always greeted us, helped us and generally made us feel like welcomed special guests. The location, just a one minute walk to Champs-Elysees, was fantastic. When we need directions to something, the front dest team always provided a map and detailed directions. When I needed to do some business, again the front desk team was able to quickly and efficiently help me with scanning and emailing documents. Dinner reservations, no problem, a special table for lunch at Le Jules Verne in the Eiffel Tower, again handled with ease. Our room was spotless during our entire stay. As our french was limited, the english speaking team at the hotel was a relief to us. This is a first class property which we recommend without reservation, and we will stay here again for our next visit to Paris.
