The hotel is in a great location just off Champ Élysées. rooms were very well appointed and spacious. The hotel staff were very courteous and very helpful during our stay. they helped us book restaurants and give good suggestions. the amenities in the room and the bathroom were top notch. good quality and old french charm everywhere.
However the price was quite steep, i think as it was on Champs Élysées. personally i feel staying in this area is a waste and you would be better off staying around the opera region with its shoppping and cafes.
i really couldnt fault the hotel, it is very good if this is what you are looking for

The Champs Elysees is a lively avenue just next to Avenue Montaigne and rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré streets (excellents for shopping).

Paris is an expensive city but we do offer a large selection of different room categories (some of them are less expensive) and also one can consider our special attractive promotional rates during the low season (available on our website).

We all look forward to welcoming you back very soon.

Sincerely yours,

Just returned from long weekend at Lancaster. Lovely little hotel and service was truly impeccable...I probably changed restaurant reservations 13x over the weekend and they were he ful and cheerful and accommodating. Room was very nice, very well cleaned with nice amenities. Gym is sort of an afterthought but sauna a nice touch and made up for it. Staff was really, really wonderful.

Our stay a The Hotel Lancaster was part of a London/Paris trip with our very good friends, who were also celebrating their 50th. There is little I can add to the numerous accolades posted on Trip Advisor about this wonderful, boutique hotel, centrally located close to some of the best Paris has to offer.

The front desk staff are absolutely and totally accommodating and make you feel welcome and appreciated without any pretense or haughtiness. While most of our meals were eaten in many wonderful Paris restaurants, the quality, presentation, freshness and abundance of the food served in The Hotel Lancaster, is equal to anything I've ever experienced in Rome, London, New York, San Francisco, and other cities. The service at breakfast is exceptional.

We look forward to a return visit in 2013 to a Paris hotel that contributed to the enjoyment of celebrating such an important time in our lives.

If you truly are looking for a special place in Paris, this is definitely it.

This hotel was recently renovated to a very good standard and is situated near the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Élysées; close to shops and restaurants.

We arrived quite tired; having caught the very early Eurostar and as always, queued for a taxi at Gare du Nord. We decided to have a snack at the hotel bar and ordered a tomato omelette with chips. The omelette was dry and you couldn't see the tomatoes, let alone taste them. Very disappointing.

We were given a room overlooking the courtyard which is lovely but the wardrobes are so close to the bed that you cannot move once you open the doors.

Also, the loo didn't flush easily. We had to call maintenance twice to operate it. We gave up calling them in the end and had to keep flushing until it worked. It really was very annoying. Luckily we were only staying for two nights. Otherwise, we would have asked to move rooms.

Good location but not value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the courtyard which is pretty.

Located just off the Champs Elysees, The Lancaster is an elegant understated luxury hotel with fantastic service. This is generally not my preferred location in Paris, but if this is the neighborhood in which you are looking to stay, the Lancaster is an excellent choice.

The hotel is beautifully furnished with a classical feel, but with modern, stylish accents. The rooms are spacious, and decorated tastefully, as are the bathrooms. The service could not be better. The twice daily maid service was notable as well; the quality and friendliness of the cleaning staff, as well as their thoroughness was extraordinary. I loved the bath products, and the towels and the robes. Everything was luxurious and elegant.

The common areas are wonderful; there is a great bar and a lounge, and an excellent one-star restaurant. Additionally, the quality of the breakfast could not have been better; incredible baked goods, house made smoked salmon, and wonderful egg dishes and other hot dishes made to order if one wished.

Unfortunately, I did have a problem with the internet. They have just updated their system, and for me at least, it would not keep a signal. Since I make a lot of calls via internet while traveling, this was a problem for me. I appreciate how the hotel bent over backwards to address this problem, and came up with an acceptable solution.

If you are looking for a 5 star experience, but perhaps without all of the grandeur or the price tag of the Four Seasons George V, or Le Bristol, The Lancaster is a wonderful place. Note also that this hotel is a member of American Express Platinum Fine Hotels and Resorts; I was able to book a favorable rate through Amex.

A beautiful room, personal attentive service, and can't- be- beat- location all added up to a perfect stay for me. Showed up at 10am, fully expecting to store my bags and the friendly front desk staff found a room ready. With hotel-provided map and guidebook, I dropped off my bags and walked no more than 100 yards to the Champs Elysee ! The high ceilings in the room added to the gracious appointments such as a gorgeous bathroom with big marble counters, deep sinks and a killer shower. The bed and sheets were exquisite. My room had huge tall windows that opened up to a quaint and romantic garden. Very quiet. If you need hustle and bustle with a gazillion people around and a big grand overstated feel, this is not your place ! If you are looking for understated elegance, with service to match, you can't go wrong staying here.
And eat dinner at the restaurant !!!

Room Tip: I booked through my American Express with my Platinum card and was given a rate that was almost 30...

You pay a 5 star price but you won't be disappointed. I've been travelling to Paris for over 20 years on business and pleasure and you always feel like the hotels don't match up to your expectations and dreams. In Paris it is worth paying more so you can be in the right location for shopping, exploring, art galleries and museums and the night life.

We walked down to the musée du quai Branly which is a fantasic museum that is not on the main tourist trail. The Champs-Élysées is 1 minute walk away and has an excellent choice of cafes and restuarants just off the main boulevard. There is also a beauty store 2 mins away which is open 24 hours for all those essential OPI products.

Due to the temptations of Paris and all those shops it is always a quick and expensive delight at the Lancaster.

Room Tip: courtyard rooms are heavenly.
