Very nice hotel. Very nice atmosphere. Extremely expensive. We stayed on the 6th floor. The most fantastic view. Very nice and comfortable junior city. Marble bathrooms and walking closet.
The food is very good and the Bar. Nice piano after 7.00pm.
We show a little mouse running at the bar area at night time. And that put us off not having lunch the next day. And what a dissapoitnent the Concierge couldn't found us a table at the Le Maurice Resaturant any of the days we stayed there.

Room Tip: 601-602 Realy great views

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for sharing you most recent experience at Le Meurice.

We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay with us.

We were happy to learn that your junior suite on the 6th floor met your expectations and that you enjoyed the best view on the city of light.

However we feel very concerned by the fact your drink at our bar has been tarnished once by the presence of a small mouse. Please be assured we have alerted our Director of operations about this.

I sincerely hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the near future, and please do not hesitate to contact me directly for your reservation. I will be happy to make all the necessary to make your stay memorable and to book a table for you at our gastronomic restaurant.

Kind regards,

Joseph Gardon

We booked Le Meurice on a whim, we saw it on Jetsetter one day - we were thinking about Paris and the deal sealed the deal. We loved Paris, and I think Le Meurice just made us love Paris even more. When we arrived, our room was not ready, so we were directed to the tea room to wait for our room to get ready. We didn't mind, and they took care of our drink charges for us. When we got to the room, we were pleasantly surprised by how large it was and the Parisian decor that is used throughout the hotel and including our room! Our bathroom was covered in white marble and I just wanted to take that vanity table back home with me. My husband and I don't like to plan out every minute of our day when we travel, so we really relied on the concierge (and a few guide books) to take us through our days while we were in Paris. We would just stop by the concierge every morning and say, hello where do you suggest we go today? I can't even describe the helpfulness and level of service we always received from the concierge. Many of them would give us their personal favorite cafes and places to visit throughout Paris. One thing to note that happened to us with the show Moulin Rouge - we bought a ticket through the concierge and they reserved tickets for us. However, when we showed up at the show, it was shady when a guy at the door showed us another line where you can stand to get a better table if you give him more money. You basically have to 'tip' him to get into that line, my husband gave the guy 20 euros, which we later found out from other people in the line that some just gave him 5 euros, and we did get seated first with a front table. However, when we went back to the concierge and told them what happened they acted shocked and said the show shouldn't have been doing that. Who knows!

One thing I highly recommend is to try to book a table at the Le Meurice restaurant, it has 3 Michelin stars. Inside looks like a very elegant small ballroom, and only a few tables inside. We were lucky someone cancelled and the concierge was able to get us in one night. I don't even remember how many courses, but my husband and I laughed when our server brought out a dessert to have before our many dessert courses! Needless to say, we were stuffed by the end of our meal. Our server was so gracious, and even took the label off our wine bottle, laminated it for us to take home. One thing I'll always remember is really the level of service they extended to their guests. I was probably annoying with taking a million pictures of the food and decor, but not once did anyone roll their eyes or say anything rude to us during dinner. In fact, the waiter suggested I retake a picture because he didn't think a server was smiling in the picture while he was setting down our food (he made the server smile as I retook)! Our waiter even gave tips of his own favorite macaroon shop in Paris, and wrote down the information on a piece of paper for us. Everyone catered to us, which is what one expects with such a nice restaurant. Our dinner was pricey (ended up being around $1000 for two) but the food, service, and atmosphere was amazing! My husband is a big foodie, so we do indulge at nice restaurants frequently; this is one we recommend and look to return to.

Although most employees we encountered at the hotel were helpful, the only negative I would say is there are a few employees who act a bit stuck up, and the atmosphere can be this way as well.

I can't afford the hotel but once in a while a breakfast there is a nice treat ! Budget 40, 53 or 72 euros per person (continental, American or Meurice). A simple espresso ? 10 euros. You're in palace remember. Can't afford it ? Go to the Tuileries garden across the street and have your late (the 2 little joints there open at 11 i think) breakfast under the trees.

Our second stay, even better than the first in 2010. Because our room was not ready upon check in, we were upgraded to a room with magnificent views that extended from the Louvre and Eiffel Tower. Breakfasts in the room were wonderful. The lobby is gorgeous and non-generic (which is an immense plus.. nothing worse than walking into a hotel that is so generic it could be in downtown Chicago versus being in the heart of Paris). The location is unbeatable (especially if you enjoy shopping as Rue Saint Honore is only a couple of blocks away). The front desk staff and concierge were very knowledgeable and helpful ! A wonderful experience and when we return next year, we will return to the Meurice!

Le Meurice stands out not just because of its location alone, but how it plays up on its old-world charm and elegance. It's the perfect property to transport you to the luxe living of bourgeois France, with its attention-to-detail decor and elegance. The rooms are spacious and despite its vastness, surprisingly feels like home. The bed is amazingly comfortable and of course, the views are unsurpassable. Service wise, the staff are helpful but there is a certain 'distance' to them. I suppose this is all about giving the Le Meurice service -- be friendly, but not too over-friendly. Breakfast was okay but we have to say, the eggs here were cooked perfectly! We also dined at Le Dali but was a bit disappointed by the fare. Nothing stood out except for the fabulous and amazing desserts.
