Visiting Notre Dam is like going on a pilgrimage. This was my first visit (although my wife had seen it before) and I was looking forward to it. It did not disappoint. To think that the cathedral has been around for 850 years is mind boggling. It is on the east side of the Ile de la Cite. We got there fairly early. There was a long line to go into the towers with a long wait. There was a line to go inside the cathedral but it moved relatively fast. The organs and the stained glass windows are famous. We were not lucky to hear the organs. Cameras are allowed inside and although flash photography is prohibited, people were using flash every where. The stained glass windows are some of the most beautiful I have seen. The people we met were from all over the world. A definitely must if you are visiting Paris.
