Everytine that I see the Cathedral, I wonder how people with not advanced technology was able to build so great piece. Because it is really a master piece. The outside is always crowded, and ypu have to be patient to take a picture that shows the Cathedral and not a bunch of people. If you are lucky, you can also attend a service, with the organ playing.

You cannot visit Paris and not see the Notre-Dame cathedral. I would also recommend to go up to the tower, the view from there is really amazing and it's worth waiting to that long queue to go up (around 1hour waiting time)

If you are there for mass you are allowed to cut the line. You don't actually displace anyone because the line doesn't take you to the seating area during mass. It is a little strange that all through mass there is a continuos line of tourists walking the perimeter. No charge to enter for anyone. The mass we attended was in French. Stunningly beautiful place.

Notre Dame was gorgeous. When we walked in there was a choir singing at the altar. To first see the church and then hear the music will be something I will not forget. The architecture was amazing and my favorite part was the grand organ. We went early in the morning and even though the lines were long to get in they moved quickly. A must see if you are in Paris.

surprisingly, we liked some others outside paris better. you can't not love the architecture that goes into it, the flying buttresses, etc, and the amazing stain glass, but, there's a particular style to them all that gets redone over and over.
