Definitely worth a visit especially as a special celebration starts soon for a year. Free entry. Be aware that services take place frequently so they ask that visitors move round quietly.

“Notre Dame= Our Lady... what a lovely name”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

Worth a visit the interior is glorious and the immensity of the structure left me wondering how on earth it could have been built, what tools could they have had 1000 years ago that enabled this beautiful Gothic structure to be built. The stained glass windows are enormous and very colourful I found them breathtaking!

“Bell Tower Closed Due to Strike Nov 14, 2012”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Got to see the inside of Notre Dame (free admission), although in my opinion it is more striking from the outside. We were planning to hike to the top of the bell tower using our museum passes, but when we finally found the entrance (on the north side) we also found a sign saying the bell tower is CLOSED due to a STRIKE, dated November 14 2012. I was unable to find any information on this online, and am unsure of the duration/conditions/etc. We have a few days left in Paris and would like to see it, but can't find any updates online and it might not be worth the time going back to check every day.

“Wonderful Place”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

I had visited this place in Nov ,the weather was good .It is a marvellous building and I was dumb stuck how such a huge ,perfect building could be completed a long time agowithout the modern machineries to take materials up there .
There was no big crowd when I went and hence could enjoy and spend lot of time admiring the building.A mass was in progress and I could also enjoy the choir by a young team that was in held after the mass. There is a model of the building inside .I loved the ambience inside .
As I walked out I witnessed a newly married couple with their families around in photo session.
I spend some time enjoying the live plays that was in progress in the court yard .It is unforgetable place in Paris.

“Beautiful Cathedral”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

No complaints at all - what isnt there to like about a place like this? It was crowded but you would expect that at a significant place of interest.
