very cool to think that all of this still exists. roman baths right there in the middle of paris. interesting artifacts. cool stained glass windows. lots of "rocks and ruins" displayed in an interesting and non-overwhelming way.

I paid EU$8 to get into this museum which in my opinion was absolute value for money. There is a very good audio guide available (cheap or free from memory) which i would recommend for english speaking visitors. The museum building and gardens are asthetically very beautiful and the exhibitions are fascinating - particularly for those with a love of medieval history. The 'Lady and the Unicorn' exhibition was particularly enchanting.

There is a nice little shop, bathrooms (EU$0.20 i think, needed exact change) and a cloak room which was a couple of euros.

Overall this was my favourite experience during my short trip to Paris.

The site was first a bath house during the Roman times and then the abbots of Cluny built their residence there in the 14th century. Hence you will see both Gallo-Roman and Middle Age artifacts. The highlight is a set of 6 large tapestries from the Middle Age, "the Lady and the Unicorn". If you have bought a Museum pass, don't overlook this place!

Along with a substantial display of ancient art and sculpture you'll find the remains of the Roman baths. A great way to spend a couple of hours.

This was a lovely museum - great audioguide commentary and lots of interesting exhibits on the Middle Ages. Right near our hotel, so we visited for 2 hours the morning we were leaving while leaving luggage at the hotel. Don't know why I skipped this my last several times in Paris. Don't miss!
