Easy to walk around in. Less busy than some of Paris's other museums. Worth an hour or two especially after a reasonably short walk from the Pantheon.

This is an absolute must - after you see them you find out how important there were in the history of French/World literature etc. They are just stunning, and extremely well exhibited.

Ancient fusion of earliest (pre-)Parisian and Roman and Roman Catholic treasures. Not just an exhibit but a real place on exhibit filled with treasures including the famous Unicorn Tapestries. A small but excellent gift shop for those of us who like hard to find books in several languages and children's stuff, too. Highly recommended and not crowded.

Wonderful audioguide that guided us through this 800 year old building and the history of the Middle Ages in France. An amazing experience. The entrance is through a courtyard paved with cobblestones, the map was good and the audioguide was really excellent.

We went here on our second day in Paris. Both my husband and I are big history nerds so the Musee Cluny was right up our alley. Very quiet museum just off of Boulevard St. Germain. Filled with medieval items including religious art and scupltures, jewellery, weapons, armour, furniture, etc. Most impressive of course are the famous Lady and the Unicorn tapestries - worth seeing if you are a history buff! We spent the morning at the museum, then had our picnic lunch in the medieval inspired garden attached to the museum that is nice and secluded from the street. Then we spent the afternoon wandering the St. Germain de Pres area - it made for a lovely day!
