I love Place des Vosges. . . whether lounging on the green with a hot croissant or passing some time with a book. . . Sipping a tea at one of the surrounding cafés or meandering through the gallery-lined roofed passage embracing the square. . . or imagining what it was like to live in one of the hôtel particuliers. . . It's a special place.

This is a beautiful square, where you can actually feel the history that was made here. If you have time there are cafe's where you can grab lunch or just stroll around and admire the artists set up on the street.

Absolutely stunning place. Very nice park/square where you can walk around and relax and appreciate the gorgeous buildings around. They make it so unique. They are really beautiful. The park is quite shielded from the traffic sounds, even though there are roads around it. There is a little playground with kids playing while the parents can relax. And of course there is the house of Victor Hugo. It just cannot be missed!

This is a perfect place to settle on a sunny day with a picnic, book, or loved one. This square allows an ideal people-watching perspective, not to mention the gorgeous buildings surrounding you. There is also a little playground in the one corner of the park to keep the youngsters busy while you rest your feet.
There is much history to indulge in here, but this lovely place also offers you a chance to relax and clear your mind. Enjoy!

Wake up in the morning (feeling like P. Diddy) - sorry, couldn't helpt it teehee - and walk up straight to Place des Vosges. It's a beautiful square (there's Victor Hugo's house, which can be visited at no cost). Just sit back and observe Parisian life go by. Paris is such a touristic city we seldom stop to think people actually live there and, on weekends, walk their dogs away from the crowd packing up at Louvre or Eiffel Tower. This is the reason why Place des Vosges is the place to be when you want to discover a little more about the Parisian daily life.
