Each time I have visited Paris I have come here and always love the Art Galleries and coffee shops and Damman Tea Shop where I stock up on my French Teas. Lovely surroundings in Spring or in Winter.

Victor Hugo's residence and a number of lovely art galleries and restaurants in the cloisters around this square. Would like to visit again in the spring/summer when the square would look prettier!

*YAWN* Sorry, Vic Hugo fans. This was just boring. La Place de Vosges was all kind of boring except for some of the nice art shops and Ma Bourgogne (café). If you exit on the southwest corner of Place de Vosges, however, there is an excellent courtyard which leads to Hotel Sully (not a hotel) where there is a library. Go into that library and look up at the painted ceiling! ;-)

Walk around the square with covered colonnade and central park. Many fabulous art works in the surrounding galleries. Cafe's and jewellery stores. Good for a rainy day or hot summers day.
