Have to go ,just to say " I went up the Eiffel Tower" Will get a great view from 2nd floor-you don't need to wait in line again to go to the summit

We queued at 9 am on a Sunday in July and had a ticket by 9:45 to go to the top. That costs €14.50 for an adult. You can also take the stairs, or go to the 1st level if you're short on time. The view is spectacular, and it helps you to understand just how widespread Paris' beauty and architectural planning extends. It is neat to be able to see the main sights in Paris all within a glance. On a hazy day, I don't think it would be worth it, but if it's the only time you'll ever be in Paris, perhaps you might want to go anyway.

We arrived about 10:30pm and it took an hour before we were at level 2, and the top was closed by then (wasn't that fussed as had been up there before). Definitely one to visit, it goes without saying.

I took advice from friends to book before leaving aus and to do skip the line tour for Eiffel Tower. It was worth every cent as the queues went for at least a kilometre. And to top it off we had an excellent guide Anya who not only entertained us but her knowledge of French history was valuable. She also pointed out the main attractions from the tower as we walked around. This also got us a pass to the very top.

This is definitely a must do while is Paris! There are two options, either you go to the first platform by stairs or elevator or you go to top platform by elevator. Be AWARE there are a lot of pocket pickers! You have to be looking around, put your backpack on the front and your things on the front pocket. The elevator and the lines can get crowded. The best way it is to start from Trocadero and walk down towards the tower.
