We queued at 9 am on a Sunday in July and had a ticket by 9:45 to go to the top. That costs €14.50 for an adult. You can also take the stairs, or go to the 1st level if you're short on time. The view is spectacular, and it helps you to understand just how widespread Paris' beauty and architectural planning extends. It is neat to be able to see the main sights in Paris all within a glance. On a hazy day, I don't think it would be worth it, but if it's the only time you'll ever be in Paris, perhaps you might want to go anyway.
