As a Rodin fan, I had to visit the Rodin Museum with my wife and 13 year old son whilst in Paris. We all had a fantastic time. Since art is a very personal thing, you should check out Auguste Rodin's sculptures on-line before you attend if you don't know anything about his style, but just about everyone knows "The Thinker" and "the Kiss". This museum has the advantage of having a beautiful garden containing his larger pieces, where you can find a quiet spot to just sit and ponder or chat quietly in the cafe, and then carry on with the rest of the museum. You can cover the whole place in a few hours. One tip is to get there early and avoid the queues that form on the street and inside the gate. Besides, the roses are better earlier in the morning, even if the best sculpture in the world is not your style! ;-)

Grey November day in Paris yet as I walked through the gardens the sun came out and changed everything. This is a place where you can sit and stare at some of the best sculpture ever made and as the light changes so does how you see the sculpture. Indoors is equally lovely, an old and creaky building with high ornate ceilings. It is showing its age but somehow this adds to the feeling. Loved this place. Can imagine it would be a good place to go with children, there weren't any when I was there but there was lovely space for them to move in. If you just want entry to the gardens its only one or two euros so a cheap but delightful place to go. Has a small cafe - nothing exceptional but adequate for a quick coffee.

This museum is absolutely a must see while you are in Paris. Formerly the grand residence of Marechal de Biron , built by Jean Aubret during the early 18th century. On view is the world renowned "Thinker", "Gates of Hell" , and" Eve". View Rodin's expansive working collection and personal collection of exquisite masterpieces. Stroll through the gardens outside the residence and feel the presence of this master artist.

This is a small museum that has a building and park area with Rodin sculptures. We found the visit to be very interesting and the viewing of both large and small bronze sculptures well worth the time. The building has drawings and smaller bronze sculptures. The garden has the larger sculptures and a very nice restaurant.
We had the quiche and found it to be very good.

We visited the Musee Rodin on December 24th and it was clear that the staff did not want to be there. The cafe and garden was closed. We understood why the cafe might be closed the day before Christmas, but many of Rodin's pieces are in the gardens and it was not clear to us why they were off limits. But, thank goodness the art does not know the calendar because Rodin's genius in the indoor pieces is there no matter the time of year. We recommend the audio guide to fully appreciate his progression as an artist. We visited the museum many years ago and had fond memories...this visit was disappointing. But, despite the let down, we recommend the museum for fans of sculpture in general and Rodin in particular.
