If you love sculptures, esp. marble, this place is heaven. I am a neophyte in this area, but was grinning like a drunken monkey the entire 8 hrs or so that I spent there. There is construction going on at the moment, but what was there to see was amazing!

This is one of the most beautiful museums in Paris. Many of the Rodin sculptures are outdoors in the gardens, which are worth a trip all by themselves. Add Rodin's sculptures and the experience is a delight.

There is also an indoor gallery, but I think the displays here change. The exhibition I saw contrasted preliminary models with finished sculptures, which gave interesting insights into the creative process.

If you like Rodin's work this is a MUST SEE!! It is a small museum a couple of blocks from Invalides (Army Museum). The gardens are truly the main attraction. There are sculptures throughout and at the far end a pond and a wooded area with lounge chairs. The garden does close 30 min before the museum so visit it first if it's the end of the day. There is a garden cafe for light snacks. The museum itself in Hotel Biron is very well done. There is an audioguide available. Museum Pass holders stay to the left when entering and go straight to the audioguide desk. There is currently a temporary exhibit in the building on the street which I found quite dull but it is small and doesn't take much time.

We arrived in Paris on the first Sunday of November. Many of the museums are free that day and the Rodin Museum is one of them. it is one of those places you see on TV or in books and think you may never see it in person. If you miss it you will regret it, so go if in Paris. It is just across the street from Napoleons Tomb. Of course the "Thinker" is there, but there id much more!
