We came here on our first night in Paris. First advice is to make reservations! We were lucky and had a table only because we came so early (7 PM). You have the option of ordering a small, medium, or large tasting menu. The selections are by the chef's choice. I will say I ordered the large and was done after about half of it. Although it was delicious (lots of fresh sashimi and tempura), there was a lot of fried and breaded seafood/vegetables that became too heavy at the end. The mood is very romantic, quiet, and with its low ceilings and dim lightly, is very intimate and great for a romantic date.
We probably won't come back (too much fried food!) but will still recommended for someone who is looking for an alternative to French cuisine in Paris!

We had a fantastic dinner at Shu's. Suprising food, friendly atmosphere and nice location. But we would never have found it without tripadvisor. The food on sticks was a pleasant surprise and we enjoyed every course. Make sure you make a reservation - at time of opening at 18.30 we were able to manage a table, all others had a reservation. I would surely recommend this little restaurant!

Sure, when you think of Paris, you might not immediately think of Japanese or sushi. But if you want to have one of the best experiences in Paris, then I highly recommend Shu! From the moment you walk into the door (which is hobbit sized and makes you bow down to enter, too cool!) you know you are in for a real treat. There are a few set menus to choose from and they all looked great. Ours included the freshest sashimi ever (the raw scallop might have been the best piece of sashimi I've ever tried. Melted in your mouth!), fried morsels on a stick (kushiage), and every unique combination in between. The plates just kept coming and we couldn't get enough of it all. The service was extremely friendly and really made our evening that much more enjoyable. You will NOT be disappointed by Shu!

We were in Paris for around 20days. Finally we had try this restaurant after reading the comments. As they have only set menu and the main dishes are " fry" food so if u are ok then u should go try. We love it..it was one of the best meal in this trip. Good food and good service..attention to details.. I actually don't eat meat and they were able to adjust the menu for me. I will go back for sure!!

We are from Australia & speak very little French. So the idea of going out some restaurants was intimidating.

We always seek tripadvisor reviews and I am pleased to say this was another marvellous suggestion. You enter in via a quirky small door even midgets would have to duck their head, once inside its a like walking back into the 1600s.

Stone walls with jaggered rocks fused with Dim lighting and classy setting give you the feeling you are onto a winner.

The staff were very polite and quickly seated us within full view of the kitchen. The chef who owns the restaurant spoke fluent English which was comforting.

There was a choice of 3 degustation menus all of which promise to take you on a foodies journey. The wine list also promises not to dissapoint.

We went for the more expensive option the Kyora, it was delicious and quite a lot of food spanning over an hour and a half. .

Sushami, tempura skewers (seafood & meat), shiitake mushrooms, soup, & dessert ensure you are left feeling just right.

See attached our photos as we took some of most of the dishes.

Highly recommend.
