“The most romantic stroll through a park…”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

My wife and I are very frugal travelers, and we are always in search of the best possible low-cost and free experiences while not sacrificing on quality. Visiting this park is such a quality experience, and yet your only expense is your transportation cost and any picnic supplies you may choose to take. I highly recommend visiting the park around dusk and experiencing the tower at sunset, and then staying until it gets dark. You will not be disappointed.

“Must see...too easy”
Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

Champs de Mars (you pronounce the s on Mars) is between the Tour Eiffel and the École de Guerre and you can simply walk in and take a rest on the grass. Site of many events, this champs (or field) is worth the visit. You might stumble across a cool event but even if you don't, the views are perfect. If you're there at night, make sure you stay around the hour. Every hour (for five minutes) the tower sparkles. It's quite the spectacle.

“Romantic & Full of Activity”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

One of the best views of the Eiffel Tower can be found here, while it is the most ideal and free place to have a picnic or jogging on a lazy weekend. Definitely makes the most skeptic guy a romantic after a visit here. A walk around the tree areas gives you a glimpse of Parisian outdoor life as well.
Tips: bring a mat/cover for laying about, try the spaces diagonal to the Tower for a different view
Some annoyances include: pesky souvenir sellers, jump/stunt photography tourists, drunks/rowdy folks at night.

“The Wall For Peace”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

The Parc du Champ de Mars one of the largest parks in Paris. One of the best pleace for the rest in the city.
But I would like to tell about the monument, which is located on the Champs de Mars: at the other end of the Eiffel Tower, this monument is called "The Wall For Peace".
This Monument was inspired by the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. Made mostly of glass, it features the word “peace” written in 32 languages and 18 alphabets. Visitors are encouraged to leave messages in the cracks...as people leave prayers at the Wailing Wall.

“Except for the guys selling wine... Fantastic”
Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

We arrived on a Friday night and the place was a buzz, thousands of people enjoying a evening picnicking under the Eiffel Tower. It is a really pleasant feel, but the guys selling wine are pains, they do not leave you alone.
Once it gets dark it is really nice to sit and enjoy the light show that Eiffel puts on. Really enjoyed this place... A couple of times.
