In Paris for visiting some friends, we went to Max y Jeremy a couple of days ago. Warm welcoming and good mood, the waitress was really friendly and energic. She took time to advice us and describe their products. We ate some classic spanish tapas (croquetas, "charcuterie", buffala, tortilla) and I drunk a coktail called "besito del diablo'. The wine was nice as well. If you want share a good time with your friends, go guys, it is worth it!!

It bills itself as a tapas bar, but what it really is is a trendy bar that gets very noisy after 10 that happens to serve tapas (which are not bad but not great either). We'd made reservations for 9 thinking we were going to enjoy a dinner of tapas and wine, but in fact it got so crowded at the bar that it was difficult to enjoy "dinner". Now... if I wanted to go out for a few drinks and have some nibbles, this might be a great place. It's all about expectations.

Been to Paris many times before. This time my friends took me to le troisieme. I loved it! Small paved streets, fun crowd, everybody walking around, window shopping at the bars and restos in the hood, chit-chatting, smoking, laughing. Just gorgeous! And even better that our final destination was Max Y Jeremy. Nice small place, with a fun crowd, beautiful young people all in great mood enjoying the -admittedly- great tapas and even better drinks that the barman kept pouring for us. Overall a very favorable experience. Will definitely go back there on my next trip. Only "negative sign": next day I looked the place up on the web, found their email address, sent them an email to congratulate them, and 3 months later still no reply!

Disappointing experience. Having been turned away and told they were shut for a private function on the Friday, we then rang Saturday lunchtime to book a table for the evening. No-one answered so we left a message on the answerphone.
Seeing a missed call on the mobile (but no message) in the afternoon, we rang back just in case it was the restaurant, and we left a further message reconfirming the booking.
Around an hour before the time we booked, we rang again to check everything was ok, and were told that they had given the table away as we had not answered the phone!
Personally, I think 2 calls are sufficient to confirm a booking, particularly as no-one was picking up the phone at their end during the day.
I'd love to be posting a review of the food, service, atmosphere and experience of a fabulous tapas bar in a lovely part of Paris, but unfortunately it seems that personal customer experience comes a distant second from filling the tables at all costs.
