“disappointing but at least they tried!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2012

Went as a group of 6 on saturday night in August, warm welcome on reservation (necessary) by charming Italian waitress.
We had two marvelous amuse gueule which made us think dinner was going to be fun and tasty.
Service is uneven: the young woman is pleasant whereas the man is quite incompetent ( cannot explain the food + forgot my order of an extra Evian bottle+ bumped three times into my chair during dinner) AND the pace is very slow, no rhythm to the dinner.
Two appetizers were off the mark : the potato tartelette was a glob of mess in the plate, the chanterelle "meringue" consisted of a foam of egg white with overcooked mushrooms . The duck carpaccio was too thick, and had a salty peanut base, it made so gustative sense.
The burnt soup was delicious and the langoustine and artichoke tempura was well executed but nothing to write home about.
5 of us took the pasta entrée du jour a thin spaghetti with chanterelle and white truffle : we were really disappointed : the pasta was overcooked and too salty and the truffle had a nice smell but no taste . the person who took the beef cooked in salt enjoyed it.
We did not stay for desserts, because unwilling to be adventurous and we were there three hours. By then the service had lost attention to our table .
With wine it came to 75€ per person plus tip

Amazing Michelin dinner!!! Thé flair profiles were complex and divine. We got thé First menu with four courses and It all worked.

“Disappointed...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2012

We really tried to like this restaurant. It was a small, cozy place with warm servers. There seemed to be fish or seafood in almost every dish, which was a big let down to me (since I don't eat either). Even after the menu had been explained, I still found lobster in my pasta dish. I couldn't complain because of the mishap (I didn't understand the French menu and the English ones were not available because they were making changes to it). My husband who is a seafood eater was not that thrilled with the unique flavors or herbs that were used. Even my carpaccio dish was flavored too strongly with aromatics that thoroughly killed the taste of the meat, which I think should be the star of the dish. This restaurant is supposed to be a French and Italian mix, but I don't feel as though either styles were done any justice.

“Memorable, unusual, fun and tasty all wrapped in a chaing package”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2012 via mobile

We were mulling the menu posted in the front window when our lovely and charming hostess came out to answer questions and invite us in. The experience just kept getting better as the evening went by. Portion sizes are on the small size, very tasty and beautifully presented. Each dish we had was unique, an adventure unto itself. I cannot recall a more enjoyable evening exploring culinary artistry and basking in the hospitality of owners who so obviously enjoy the pleasure of their guests. Highly recommended

“A new favorite in Paris”

We went for lunch on a Saturday and will be back soon for the dinner experience. Great service, inventive and well executed menu, and a pleasant room as well.
