“Amazing oysters”
Reviewed February 13, 2014

The best oysters I have ever tried. The restaurant has only 5-6 tables and you have to arrive early to find a table.
You definetely have to try it if you like oysters!

“For oyster lovers”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

The restaurant is very small and we went just after opening hour for lunch and managed to get a table no problem, but the restaurant did fill up pretty quickly and there was a queue building outside.

The menu is basically just oysters and few other seasonal seafood, such as shrimps and clams. The woman owner was very accommodating and introduced the menu aswell as recommending different types of oysters, the male owner on the other hand was very grumpy. We opted for the oyster platter and it was a delight. Fresh and great value for money. And it came with a basket of bread.

“Best Oysters!”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

Every time I visit Paris, I make sure that Regis is included in our plans. Unbeatable in terms of quality and freshness and a dedication to a single product! family run and tiny place but always full and delivering the best. A batch of fresh apple tarts arrived while we were having our lunch and so opted for a dessert. Excellent.

A small specialized shop with few tables and no reservation possible so you have to queu waiting for a table. But product quality at top and reasonable prices.

“Go at your own risk”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

This restaurant exemplifies the worst of French attitude and bigotry. Upon reading the positive reviews on tripadvisor, we decided to give it a try on two occasions. We first went there for lunch and when it came to our turn they said they are closed for the day! If they have a certain closing time why didn't they inform us while we were waiting. Nonplussed we decided to try it again for dinner. We arrived there at 7:45pm., the lady took our name down and said come back in one hour at 9:45pm. I asked her if it's one hour how come it's not 8:45pm and she again said one hour, I asked once again because of the discrepancy and she said well I don't know the time! I didn't read anything into this at the time and believed that a table would be available then. We went back to the restaurant at 8:30pm and the lady said but you still have to wait. We waited for another 45 minutes in vain while two parties were given tables ahead of us. One of the parties was actually behind us when we both registered at 7:45pm and the other party, a French couple came and only waited 10 minutes before they were seated. No explanation was given as to why they were given tables ahead of us! Does it go by reservation or first come first serve? It seems the restaurant seats people totally on the lady's whim! The only way we could have been served was ignoring her "come back in 1 hour" and insisted on waiting until a table is available but the service would undoubtedly be poor. Don't waste your time waiting your precious time! There are much better choices for oysters. Le Bar A Huitres is two stations away in the Latin Quarter and Flottes O. Trement near Concorde. Both restaurants have oysters and excellent seafood platters as well as good service.
